Jace: "Not to mention our past history with Tezzeret. Do I even need to mention Nicol Bolas?"
Ajani: "I'm green-white."
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
I wish the dinosaur was the walker, and the rider was just incredulous as to what was happening.
Jace isn't bad. That +1 untap all critters you control is surprisingly good. Might be able to find him in some EDH decks because of it. DinoKnight is legitimately awful, though. Even if I was running Dino tribal, I don't think I'd run her. She's narrow to the point of being completely useless unless she has a dino to ride.
Literally the only exciting thing int he whole set for me. And I love Pirates, and Dinosaurs! But I just hate how they're being shown to us here.
Maybe its cause these pirates aint pirating, and these dinosaurs are working together with humanoids instead of trying to each other other, and the feathers everywhere, like Carnival, geez.
That Jace PW card is highly playable in EDH. Especially in Phenax mill.

Wanted -Zombie Foils and older expensive Zombie stuff. High Priority- Beta Z Master/ Int. Collector's Edition.
You know, looking at Jace's Sentinel, I think that card can be standard playable. Being a merfolk seems like it will be relevant in this format, and the fact that you can curve it with Jace, Cunning Castaway to start looting seems pretty decent. Of course that without Jaces it is just a 1/3 for 2, but that might be alright against aggressive strategies.
If I'm correct in my assessment that single uncommon might drive the price of these planeswalker decks up.

If it is true that a certain planeswalker is stuck with a certain color pair for planeswalker decks, and if there would at least be one Gatewatch member as a planeswalker deck, then there would be a lot of stone quarries and woodland streams.
WOTC. If you want to decrease the number of precons released per set, do not release a certain color pair a third time before any other color pairs had a chance. At least when you released 4 or 5 decks per set, all color pairs had at least one deck per 2 years, except for the sets between Nemesis and Ravnica City of Guilds where there wasn't a Red White deck.
This is the THIRD time for both Woodland Stream and Stone Quarry in the PW decks...
I was going to mention this, but you beat me to it.
It's nice to see GU getting some love somewhere!
(though they've gotten slightly better about this in recent sets)
Also, Huatli is *very* similar to the guess I had for her 1RW version,
so that version is obviously not what I was guessing.

This reminds me of the dark times in the Pokemon TCG when it comes to recycling color, or in that case, type pairs. At least this, isn't as bad as that.
From fall 2012 to summer 2013, the 2 theme deck type pairs per set are:
Water Lightning
Fire Water
Fire Water
Grass Psychic
Grass Psychic
Water Lightning
Fire Water
Grass Psychic
Pokemon TCG, unlike MTG, had 8 types, requiring its own energy, at the time of release of those theme decks, (9 now), while MTG has only 5 colors. Seeing Green Blue and Red White for the third time would make me complain about it, but I have seen worse in another game.
Then again, if WOTC released 4 or 5 precons per set, they are free to release as many sets with Green Blue or Red White precon decks all they want without having to not release any White Blue, Blue Red, White Black, or Red Green decks.
You know what. That's actually not a terrible thing to bring up to someone. Though I suppose the Duel Deck cards are their own sheet and it would be ridiculous to turn that into a redundant foil sheet.
It's not impossible for them to print cards that only show up on the foil sheet. There's at least one example I know of.
I would have to look at the specifics there, but the issue here is another one since I suppose they wouldn't just slap the cards onto an existing foil sheet... though they might be able to do that on IDK the sheet for foil basic lands. How is that one arranged these days with 15 lands?

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

Narrower. There are many moar elves. All Huatli (and again, I know I'm going to be explaining how to pronounce that name repeatedly while Ixalan's in Standard) does requires a brand new creature type. I mean, unless Imperiosaur and all the Mirrodin dinosaurs become dinosaurs...
Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
I wonder if that minotaur is actually the aformentioned Angrath. First minotaur we see from Ixalan, in an armor not matching any of the current factions', with a really iconic way of fightning (setting chains ablaze). His name also sounds similar to those of the talruum minotaurs from Jamuraa. I'm totally in for him if it's the case
Well, if Angrath is a planeswalker with a planeswalker card (i. e. they are not pulling a Ob Nixilis here), then it seems unlikely that we get them in the set Ixalan. There are already three other planeswalker cards on the rare sheet (Jace, Vraska and Huatli) - even if you assume another planeswalker card being a DFC you must imagine four pw cards in one set.
I like the idea of Angarth being a Minotaur though. A cool race yet lacking in a representative planeswalker (among the new characters with modern cards).

Like- I want to play Huatli in a casual dino deck, but it's yet another 6+cmc card for that deck. I wish they'd reveal some dinos across the curve but that seems less and less likely every day.

I think the only planeswalker deck I liked so far has been the tezzeret one. Mostly because Tezzeret, Master of Metal is just the most awsome planeswalker name I've seen.
