I took one look at this sexy ass art for my baby Jace husband and let me tell you now that my locals will be shown no mercy or grace and this game shall not know rest until I own a copy for each of my 12 EDH decks and then some. Beware.
Y'know, normally I find Jace rather douchey looking,
but I can actually see the appeal in this version.

Apparently being a sea dog with no memory of who you are (again) can do that to you.
Also, I don't think Unraveler of Secrets looks douchey, but that's just me.
I don't have a problem with him on the cargo net as he should be able to physically climb a ladder, but the most ridiculous thing is the one glove on the torn sleeve side but barehanded other side makes it seem like Jace made that particular choice instead of just making him look beat up from his recent encounter (if that's what they were going for). I'm don't understand fashion but the composition is just weird... like socks but no pants sort of thing, unless he is trying to be the Michael Jackson of the Multiverse.
I was also really annoyed the first time I noticed Jace having only one glove(back on the duel deck version of Jace, Architect of Thought), made the whole Michael Jackson reference and everything. Then went back and saw that he has always had only one glove...so...uhm...I still don't like it but...I guess its fashion?
Right now I'm just eating popcorn watching all the crazy people buyout Captain Sisay and a bunch of Kamigawa era cards. I think the only reason anything that interacts with legendary permanents hasn't been bought out yet is that the goofballs can't figure them all out.

3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
Holy smokes, they even hit Empress Galina. Why would you do that? I mean, yes she can snag planeswalkers now but that doesn't make her miles better than she was before (which is to say she is awsome beyond belief at stealing commanders).

Captain Sisay makes sense,
but I think Mirror Gallery is going to come crashing back down
once people realize that cloning a planeswalker isn't good enough to justify running an extra card solely for that purpose.

Sisay was insane before this, to be fair, but the walker search does add a new dimension to her insanity.

In Standard, T3: Swinging with Skyship Plunderer to loot, proliferate on Jace to 5, swing T4 again, and ult Jace for 3 Jaces at 1 cmc and 2 2/2 Bears for no mana, so you can play your 4 drop on-curve is... Really good.
Meh, I thought the planeswalkers weren't good for the game before. Now we get more on the field? I'm not looking forward to the broken shenanigans about to go down with this.
Should we go back to interrupts and Ancestral Recall too? Planeswalkers are TEN years old. If they have ruined the game for you what the hell are you still doing here?
To people complaining about flavor fail of the new PW rules:
A. Who cares? It's a game not a novel.
B. Having one PW instantly disappear is no more flavorfully consistent than having two present at the same time. Think Spock meeting himself at different times in his life. Would it have been more "flavorful" if one of those Spocks instantly ceased to exist upon seeing the other one? No.
The flavor is the idea of summoning that PW from different stages of their existence. For example, having Venser PW and Venser Legend out at once. This is a game with temporal magic.

Honestly, summoning either Venser alone would require some shenanigans, considering that he's dead. Summoning both (or, say, an army of Gideons) isn't much of a stretch after that.

Basically I haven't been able to function since the Jace reveal. Ixalan is a better Zendikar than Zendikar was already. I can't even care about the PW rules.

So far the world is doing good, it even got its own Ob-Nixilis
I can't help but notice that this rules change will have particularly little effect on standard after rotation. Ignoring the planeswalker deck ones because they're not meant to be playable, the only two planeswalkers with the same type in standard will be Nissa, Vital Force and Nissa, Steward of Elements. I suspect that this, combined with their claim of decreased gatewatch emphasis going forward, will mean that standard will usually have only one planeswalker card of each type. So there's probably little worry of planeswalker overload in standard.
Outside of standard, Modern Gideons is looking mighty fine.
Why, just WHY is Jace doing something physically difficult like hanging from an air ladder (or whatever it's called), looking like he seriously took to the gym and now shows off? His.. his image! That's Gideon stuff! Where did the supernerd mentality go?
I find it funny that Jace has a fairly realistic (albeit not stereotypically nerdy) body and everyone's complaining, but none of these people ever complained about Steve Argyle's various assaults on anatomy, shading, and not making cards that look like something a cat vomited on the carpet. Okay, that last one wasn't fanservicey at all (unless you have a cat vomit fetish) but my point remains.
As for me, I always wondered why planeswalkers weren't legendary. It's mostly flavor fluff, but Gideon and Sarkhan really want to join Captain Sisay's crew, wear the Champion's Helm, and have their Day of Destiny.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
I hope the walker hate matches up though.
I know I'm repeating myself, but I like that they're playing up Jace's illusion magic with this card, no matter how good it ends up being.
