So is this supposed to be the third potential commander for the Wizards deck? Very strange that only one deck would get a reprint commander, but equally strange if there is a third new Grixis Wizard giving the deck four potential commanders out of the box (technically this happened with the mono-colored decks including Tuktuk the Explorer in the 99 but that isn't a serious Commander option anyway).
There are three foil Commanders per deck aren't there? (Oh, new commanders I believe.) I'll amend my post on this right away, to remove any confusion.

Yeah Scion is in the Dragon deck so this doesn't actually mean anything.
Right, I forgot about Scion! So the Dragon deck already has 3 new commanders + 1 reprint. Which sadly means this Marchesa most likely won't be foil, though.

I'm guessing Marchesa was chosen because of how she interacts with Inalla, Archmage Ritualist and Mairsil, the Pretender. Jeleva and Nekusar might still be in there. It's not like the decks can be symmetric in Commander count, as Cats and Vampires don't have any prexisting GW or RWB legends to include.

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

either way, I'm not surprised that this is the reprint retrospectively. The deck seems to have a good couple of reanimator based cards.
