So they updated the transform wording for Grimlock. I doubt they would do this for a single card. This lends credibility to the idea that Ixalan has additional cards that are DFCs - since a set/block worth of DFCs could justify a change in wording - or maybe this means DFCs in Unstable. I would be surprised if it's neither.
I don't get why a "Dinobot" is an Autobot rather than a Dinobot - especially considering this is a one-of and also a lord for Transformers. I would have thought it cool if this was a DFC lord and thought for a moment there was a star on the Transformer creature type to somehow identify that's what they mean, but unfortunately not. In my opinion a wasted opportunity especially on a three-colored silverbordered legendary card. This could have been the DFC Werewolf lord so many have hopped for that just also works with Avacyn and other cards with partially white color identity.
Gold is a cool and totally not confusing color to add to silverbordered land. ^^
I'm not feeling Nerf War. It exists. I can live with cards that aren't made for me. *shrug*

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.
[thread=239793][Game] Level Up - Creature[/thread]
It could be that it's only Grimlock whose wording is changed because he's a Transformer, and if Hasbro ever uses the word "transform" to describe the action that a Transformer product does (not a Transformer character in fiction) they put their trademark at risk because Transformer then becomes a generic, literal description. This is why Transformers toys give you instructions on "converting" them.
Double-faced MtG Transformer card without "transform" ability. I've seen some crap.
I'm not 100% positive there's a face on the back side, but the ability to make him become ferocious king and the symbol in the upper left suggests it strongly.
edit: nevermind, misinterpreted you. Good point.
It's pretty darn good timing for a dinosaur/vehicle lord.

Pretty sure it is a flip card, since it tells you to transform him and he has a flip icon in the upper left hand corner.
Of course it it. But it just feels weird because it "becomes" instead of "transforms".
It's because using the word "transform" to describe a Transformers character changing forms would genericize the trademark and Hasbro would lose the exclusive right to use the name "Transformers" to describe robot toys that change forms.

Lapsed DCI Rules Advisor - Retired from playing but still hanging around
Transformers® and Nerf® give the impression that Unstable is focused on promoting other products. Dungeons and Dragons too, I guess, though that's less glaring.

Did anyone get a screen cap of the card? I saw that there was a video. I closed the tab by accident and now Twitter says there is no post!
Only the Sword is confirmed to be in Unstable.
Ok
If the other two end up confirmed as well it wouldn't surprise me.
"frosty-mage-stuff asked: Wait, were the Hascon promos revealed yet?
Here’s what got revealed today.
There are three cards:
One for Transformers
One for NERF
One for Dungeons & Dragons (and it comes with a token)
The Dungeons & Dragons one is called Sword of Dungeons & Dragons and it’s also appearing in Unstable."
Ok well atleast the dinosaurs have two legends for edh in a way
Just kidding lol.
