This is exactly what I predicted of what these decks will actually be.
The popular and iconic tribes chosen will be ones that don't have a good leader yet, or need a much much better one.
Dragons: the scions master Ur-dragon is a true dragon tribal leader reducing cost and getting dragons on to the field quickly scion is not legit yes he tutors them but this more for turning him into the dragon of your choice and need major recurrsion to get the dragons back. This doesn't need as much recurrsion.
Cats: this has ben highly requested for years by fans but not as high on popularity and iconicness of mtg so logically cats must be the unexspected tribe and in the right colors WG and no talking about missing R or B there's not enough good cats in those and black cat will have to wait another day Want those cats use wasitora from dragons.
So logically the other two must be one of these
Logically the Most likely is spirits they have so much tribal support stuff and still quite a few legendary spirits not printed sisters of flesh and spirit for example they are the opposite of elemental they have cast triggers and not enter trigger. Also they are number 12 of EDHREC's most done tribal just under angels
Vampire may have BR which may eliminate them but they need W or U added so one so we can get one or both of the missing colors so vampires may still happen
Wizards they have a perfect mono blue commander however they have the same problem dragons uset to have not a completely legit tribal leader and it's simply because WBRG are not there and amazing wizards of those colors as well. So still possible.
Human is again on the same boat they have no legit leader Samut Is the best choice but has no tribal support ability and going from another theory they are logically another one, and humans have the most creatures of them all and that number is 1,965 creatures that have the human type, but could actually be knight or soldier for this since they have mostly have humans of those creature types also that more requested tribes for this.
Angels oh believe me they would have Been locked but when cats got revealed as not being five color the dream ended because likely dragons will be the only five color deck of this. The only hope left is if I eat those words or WBR angels
It would be bizarre if zombies was not one of the tribal deck. It is literally the most played tribe in EDH. There is also no WUB legendary zombie even though there are now dozens of white zombies.
Cats are obviously the unexpected tribe. Cats are not even in the top 20 most played EDH tribal decks. Dragons is one of the most played EDH tribes, and is literally the most popular creature type in Magic. It makes sense that the other three tribes will be incredibly popular, so a WUB Zombie deck would make sense.
Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
It's silly, but I find it quite flavourful that a guy with a necromancer avi is saying this.
Anyway, I'm not a huge fan of Cats. I actually like Sphinxes, but considering unpopular they apparently are, I hope there's a tribe in C17 that piques my interest.
Zombies (1809)
Goblin (1379)
Elf (1326)
Dragon (1294)
Sliver (1206)
Vampire (1164)
Wizards (805)
Human (751)
Ally (654)
Eldrazi (596)(virtual tie with Angels)
For comparison there are only 135 cat decks. Cat tribal decks are the fringe/unexpected tribe.
If Cat Tribal is unexpected then the other two are Zombies, Elves or Goblins. Cats are one of the tribes people have wanted more support for them for years. Cat Tribal doesn't get much commander play because there are zero real on color commanders
Go look at the most popular cat tribe commanders, the top 3 are mono white in a dual color tribe, the first non mono colored commander on their lists is A G/W God that has nothing to do with Cats.
Funny how people keep saying that dragons need a better leader then Scion of the Ur-dragon, heck I will keep Scion as the leader of my Dragon deck and just run the new spoiled ones.
There's a lot of existing support for GW Cats, and I'm much more excited about this deck than the 5c Dragon one. It's even in colors I like playing. I'll definitely buy this.
A well respected retailer accidentally putting up a new product image isn't anything we haven't seen before. While it's not officially confirmed, it may as well be, especially after the Dragons.

Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.

I think he's referring to the list of popular tribes in commander, as he asked where people were getting the info from.

:simic::azorius::selesnya: Prime Speaker Bant:selesnya::azorius::simic:
I guess I can take solace in the fact that this will probably be insta-banned as commander in French EDH and I will never have to play against it.
Other than that it seems like a pretty mediocre card in multiplayer, but tribal has always been a mediocre strategy in multiplayer anyways so can't expect much.
Was pissed they skipped over allied colors yet again.
Got a little bit hopeful that they may actually go through with doing a werewolf commander deck...and then get shafted on that front. What a disappointment.

I'd rather them do more enemy colored stuff anyways because allied colors already have way more options.
If they have a pre-spark Ajani in there, most likely he'll make use of lifegain and/or +1/+1 counters.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Okay I'm glad that cats are in this round of commander decks
But this legendary could be used as a substitute for Nyquil.
This is exactly the kind of "tribal" interactions I don't like to see. Just pumping creatures of X creature type. That's... Seriously the most generic and boring thing you can do.
I would really prefer that if a tribe gets tribal support, that the support actually gives them a distinct identity and doesn't boil down to "make a bunch of (insert type here) tokens"/"make (insert type here) big boys".
I hope that the rest of the legends in this deck do something interesting.

I'm guessing that the face legend is super simple tribal commander and the other two will be more mechanical build around and/or powerful creature of the said type (this is slightly backed by the dragon leaks). The face of the decks looks to be the Eminence so the other two cat will most likely be more build around.

I feel like in order to make Cats good, Wizards needs to give them a few OP cards.
I would like some kind of legendary cat spirit that could maybe give your permanents indestructible as an activated ability. It would fit well in white green, helps keep your cats alive since they're standing toe to toe with Dragons and other overpowered tribes, as well as keep your equipment alive if that happens to be a subtheme.
I also expect a few more "equipment matters" cats, perhaps even a new Stoneforge Mystic variant, alongside some fancy equipment for our feline friends.
Tokens could also be a subtheme, so maybe a few cards that make Cat tokens?
Lifegain seems like it's definitely a Cat theme so I would expect to see some Cats that care about your life or can give you life.

Especially since we know we're getting dragons, and in what universe are dragons not a "main tribe"?
For dragon a better leader than scion of the Ur-dragon for tribal
And cats because they need one.
So popular and iconic tribes that need one or a better one.
