Now obviously somebody must make a WUBRG Hours deck.
In b4 Mythic rare that says "If you casted each Hour in this game, you win the match". They would never have you win the match with these cards but they should start.

"The essence of every world, every spell and every thought is power. Nothing else matters, because nothing else exists."
I agree, any UR or Grixis Control deck that might pop up in the new Standard will want 3 or 4 of these.
My thoughts exactly, this monster should see play in Standard, the God-Pharaoh has definitely answered the prayers of UR and/or Grixis players. What's not to like? a 5-mana wrath (which may be playable now that Marvel is gone) in Red PLUS the ability to nuke most planeswalkers all in one. I'd be surprised if those two archetypes don't make any splash now. All in all, this is the only card in HOU that has really impressed me so far.
So Sunscourge Champion is the only Eternalize creature that hasn't been spoiled yet? I imagine it's likely a 1W 2/2 (or maybe 2/1) with eternalize 4WW, or 3WW if I'm being optimistic. Also, since white already has a rare creature with eternalize but not an uncommon, I suspect this one will be uncommon.
Conflux (only other card with the same name as the set in which it was printed)
As it is, Hour of Devastation is pretty good, although 5 mana is a lot for a Wrath effect. Time will tell whether that is fast enough for Standard or not. For Commander, this will at least fill an interesting niche; hosing Indestructibility can be very beneficial in some circumstances, and 5 damage will kill a lot of commonly played commanders. The fact that it hits flyers too makes it an appealing option (as opposed to Earthquake, Molten Disaster, etc. that don't).
After thinking about this card, I'm not certain if I like the final restriction about not hitting Bolas.
I'm used to "all or nothing" cards like Wrath of God type of stuff and indestructible always felt overused by WotC for the wrong reasons. That is why I like this card for that. It fills a much needed answers slot players have been screaming about.
But that last exception? Hhmmm.... is that like a Commander thing? It's just so... I dunno... it's just weird to me to see an inverted exclusion like that. It feels like something I would see on a Yu-Gi-Oh card (note: I don't actually know if any YGO card is phrased the same way). I know that black had spells like Fear with exclusions but this feels different. Is it because I'm absolutely sick of "flavor" cards?
Maybe because I'll need to sideboard a card if I go head to head against a deck with Bolas? Is that it?

I feel it, I just can't put a finger on it.
It's the Bolas set so they made sure to have some cards that get better if Bolas is in play.
I treat it like trinket text, like Baneslayer having protection from dragons and demons, it won't matter most of the time but every now and then it will.

You don't expect him to damage himself, do you? Besides, we already have the irony of Liliana's Defeat being able to kill the God-Pharaoh.
I'm glad Red actually gets a real wrath. I always felt Red needed more cards like this to increase its versatility.
And anyone who says they dislike this card because Bolas is immune to it.... because they don't like flavor... why don t you go play chess or something.

This isn't a real wrath. A real Wrath is unconditional or it was until indestructible showed up. It was intended to be a creature wipe for all sides. This card doesn't do that though in most cases the effect is the same. So it is like a semi-fixed Wrath.
In a nut shell, how much of the game are you willing to sacrifice for the flavor? Amonkhet is the line I drew, I didn't buy any cards from the set because I felt WotC sacrificed too much to promote the flavor of the week. HoD is probably the first card that actually piqued my interest and it still suffers from flavor overload.
In an Eternal or Commander format, I think this card will do what most players want. Which is fine. But in Standard? How hard does WotC really have to push this Planeswalker? We get it. This is all about him. But do cards like HoD have to be neutered for it?
It's funny, WotC has this whole thing about "feel bad" cards and they print this sort of pseudo-Wrath which will create feel bad moments unless, of course, you control a Bolas.
I wouldn't overestimate the effect the God-Pharaoh will have on Standard. Some people are going to try Grixis control and patiently spend their first 6 turns digging for removal and countermagic until they can get to turn 7 and bring out the big gun; other will try it with some sort of ramp strategy (I am looking at you both, Hedron Archive and Bounty of the Luxa). In either case, their joy will likely be short-lived as they see the inevitable Negate to counter it or Never // Return or Liliana's Defeat to destroy it, presuming that all copies were not exiled by a timely turn 3 Lost Legacy. Once those two or three creatures come through at the combat step they will start to think twice about their choices.
That being said, you will definitely find yourself facing down the planeswalker on your opponent's side and wondering if you can get a lucky topdeck to deal with it before you lose; this applies to me, as well--at some point someone will beat me with it, it is only a matter of time.

I would agree as well. If you are referring to the word gatewatch.
I loathe creatures! Praise Prison and Land Destruction!

Sets sharing a name with cards has actually happened a lot more than you think, but it has only happened once in the same set until now:
