Must we write flavor test to dryly explain the story for people who don't read the articles?
Flavor text has always been a blurb of the story, but in case of characters, the creative has always done it based and focused on that character. Hazaketh flavor text is actualy dumb.
It would be better if it was just about the demon and not about its slayer
"Razakrth stood with the pleasure of corrupting the Luxa to ensure the doom of amonkhet"
or something like this, maybe some historical information on it, like where he was, what is his place on amonkhet, etc.
If they did a : Razaketh gave liliana the power she desired ..... blah blah blah
it would be not the greatest, but would be nice at least.
Shame they couldn't do anything with the "Blood Magic" he was showing in story. Pay life and Sac a creature to gain control of one, or something like that.
That only works on Liliana, because of their contract. Doesn't seem like something he can just do willy nilly.
He's also responsible for literally turning the entire Luxa River into blood. Like, Blood Magic is clearly a thing of his. Maybe he can't do it willy nilly, but nothing in story seems to suggest he tutors you.
That flavor text is horrible. I know the only context we actually have for this character in story is in relation to Lili and her pacts, but this flavor text just comes off silly and forced. As for the card itself I'm considering it for my Gonti EDH which has demon and reanimator subthemes.
I dont even think this is that great in EDH. Its a strong ability but the body is too expensive. I dont think it could be much cheaper without being busted but 8 is still hard to get to. As 1 of the 99 possibly but there are far better options.

EDH BRGKresh the BloodbraidedBRG, A box of lands and ideas.
Modern: RG Titanshift. A deck made of cards too stupid for EDH.
Retired: Lots. More than I feel you should suffer through or I should type out.
