I get that, but that doesn't change that it's really awful. The PW Deck cards haven't been really great, but most have had casual niches. This doesn't just seems bad even there.
And people complain about Jace getting one new card in Ixalan. Damn I'm getting tired of female Planeswalkers. Samut over Djeru next, then the native Ixalan PW is… female and the face character is… Vraska.

Why does this matter at all? Seems incredibly sexist for legitimately no reason whatsoever. Just that you hate women....

Why? What deck could want this? If you want the untap clause play Garruk Wildspeaker. I just can't imagine this is playable in any format.
Any Ramp deck?
I Will be playing her either in Maeltrom Wanderer or Idris. And in commander i like to have multiple options in the deck. Aside from the doubling season (that really would probably not be good enought with her ultimate, she gets u 4 manas anyway (in the ramp deck). She will shine in multiplayer mostly.
You're probably right. It just seems like the the 4th or 5th best PW to untap stuff like that. Being a little hyperbolic (and a little tipsy). I think I would have just liked... something different here.
Also, can we not worry about the gender distribution of PWs.... because really....? that's like the least important thing to consider here.

So you're already running Garruk Wildspeaker, Nissa, Worldwaker and Kiora, Master of the Depths and want a 4th effect of this nature on a PW? I play a lot of commander, this just seems like an insane investment for little reward. In ramp decks, at 7 mana you're usually trying to win.
And yes, I know Nissa, Worldwaker just says forests, but in a 4 color deck you should be running enough duals for that to work.

Like I said, I'm just trying to justify it as competitive or anything, but it does tickle my fancy (similar to the other [better] PWs you mentioned). I would probably generate 4000 mana then say, "Craw Wurm, go.'
This card is actually pretty insane in an Ezuri EDH deck. Getting to 7 mana there won't be a problem, and that + ability is insane. Untap Gaea's Cradle, Nykthos, or pair either of those with Deserted Temple and your mana dorks like Elvish Archdruid and Priest of Titania to power Ezuri's Overrun.
It's practically like setting off a PW's ultimate on the turn it comes down.

For me personally I'd rather just see someone who didn't just get a card or was already a planeswalker deck card.
I'm guessing Nissa's deck will be Desert-focused since she's the land-matters PW and HOD is stepping up the Desert theme. Her deck could be GU again, or it could be, I dunno, RGW? Though my inclination is that the Desert theme wants to be primarily Jund. Even making her deck GW would do a good job of counterbalancing the UBR Bolas, in which case she most likely continues the Exert theme from Gideon's deck but with added land focus.
Maybe next we can get Gideon, Master Soldier and Jace, the Dreamcaster?
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
Aw great, one of my fears for the planeswalker deck is coming true. They are recycling the same character as the face card / cover artwork after only 3 sets.
I remember theme decks and intro packs have unique cover cards or cover art that no other theme decks or intro packs would have, exceptions being Nightmare and Flameblast Dragon being the cover card of 2 different theme decks/intro packs. Even so, their "re use" was only 4 years apart for Nightmare, and 3 years apart for Flameblast Dragon.
Multiple intro packs probably have some sort of angel as the cover, but at least those angels were wearing different clothing, had different hairstyles, and were pretty much different characters. Now we get to see the same elf character as the cover card only after 3 sets, and I don't like it. Due to the nature of the cover cards being planeswalkers, we will be seeing the same character gracing the cover once every 3 or 4 sets.
If there is to be a dragon gracing the cover of a planeswalker deck, it would 100% be Nicol Bolas, at least for now, compared to the many other dragon designs gracing the cover of many other theme decks and intro packs.
Even with the limited number of planeswalker art designs, compared to the limitless number of regular card art designs, there are still a lot of planeswalkers out there, and even ones we haven't seen before, and Nissa still gets to grace the cover of a planeswalker deck after 3 sets. Stupid Gatewatch.
It would be even worse if the contents of the Nissa deck included blue and green cards, just like the Kaladesh one.
Terrible. What the hell was WoTC thinking? Planeswalkers should never be as dull and unexciting as this. Planeswalkers should make us think "Hey cool! I want this person as my ally!"
Boring, boring, boring! 0/5 card.
Flavor: Hey it's a gatewatch planeswalker. I thought she was GU on this plane? I guess not? I thought she was a fan of elves. I guess not? 0/2
Power: Nearly twice as much mana as the original Garruk and barely half his power level. 0/2
Overall coolness?: None. At all. We have five Nissas in Standard. Why? 0/1

You've got a rat in your walls, and cheese won't solve anything.

If it costed one mana less it'd be a neat ramp card, and after all what commander wants the most is more simulacrums of the same effects to cheat the singleton rule. So this may see play even if you already have Wildspeaker and Worldwaker because untapping those Wild Growth lands is just too spicy.
Why print new planeswalkers if they don't get equal treatment? Saheeli and Dovin didn't get PW decks either.
Couldn't the other PW deck have been Samut? Why does Nissa need her SECOND planeswalker deck appearance?
It almost feels like salt in the wound at this point.
This is why the Jacetice League's reception was from lukewarm to negative. You can't manufacture love and shoving the same character on someone's face relentlessly is much more likely to create antagonism.

Having multiple effects that do similar helps creates redundancy so you have a better shot of having the effect out.
Honestly, she isn't truly terrible. We've seen far worse and far better PWs. If anything she is plain average, although it would be great if she only cost 6 mana, 7 seems a bit steep so you can untap some stuff or get Thriss, Nantuko Primus effect out of it.

IKR? Its actually fairly nuts for a planeswalker card. Like I was just contemplating of using her with Selvala, Heart of the Wilds with a similar thought process.
It would be even worse if the contents of the Nissa deck included blue and green cards, just like the Kaladesh one.
Because surely they'll be the same GU cards as the Kaladesh one. Not like Amonkhet has any of its own GU cards that Nissa could play with.

I'm not suggesting this is a good line of play, but untapping a Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx (and whatever other land you want) along with some combination of Magus of the Candelabra/Argothian Elder/Voyaging Satyr/etc seems hilarious.
