I can't speak for anyone else, but I think I am going to avoid anything Ixalan until the official spoiler season begins. If you care at all about M:TG, you'd do the same. A small handful of cards builds hype, but that many, this early is not fun, at all.
Still could be great commons, and uncommon. Cards like fatal push happen.

I am honestly more curious about wizards response.
I am honestly more curious about wizards response.
Yeah, their response will be interesting.
It's amazing the amount of people who think that leaks somehow "ruin"....something. WotC obviously uses spoilers to their advantage to create a ton of free publicity, but it doesn't impact gameplay, so why should players have this weird Stockholm Syndrome-esque reaction of "Looking at cards before WotC wants us to ruins the gaaaame!"
I'm indifferent to how WOTC wants to spoil cards. As far as I'm concerned they could just post the full spoiler over one day or two months if that's how they want it done, and if something gets leaked I don't feel any obligation to abide by whatever schedule they wanted us to use to view the cards. I just want the information, the more efficiently disseminated the better but I'm not especially worried.
I just hope they don't get cold feet about their production and revealing process and make changes that hurt our ability to get the information in a reasonable timeframe. They seem to make kneejerk decisions in response to unexpected problems. I'm not even sure what that would entail for a spoiler season process, but the way they do things is fine, and it's possible for them to make changes to make it not fine anymore, so I'd prefer them not have an impetus to make changes.

I would be surprised if some one is jailed for this. Though as it is bigger than Rancorred Elf getting sent the playtest stickers for the Time spiral Timeshifted cards, if this person is in a jursiction that WOTC can reach they are going to get sued from here to hell and back again.
About the only way that they could avoid bankruptcy would be to be very specific about how they got hold of this sheet of foils and if they are the same person responsible for leaking the last page of foils how they got that one.
WOTC are not going to be happy that they have massive holes somewhere in their supply chain.

A theft is criminal, but the pictures generally would only be copyright infringement which almost is always a civil issue. Once the cat is out of the bag I don't see much purpose in ignoring it. It honestly does not hurt wizards that much. However, the people this does affect are 3rd party partners that use spoilers that WOTC gives them to write a story/something-else to drive people to their content.
On reddit they also posted a better view of some parts. Here's a mechanic for the dinos I could make out:
Enrage - Whenever [this] is dealt damage, do [X].

Possibly. But far more useful/important at the moment is plugging the gaping hole that is in WOTC's supply chain.
We can all agree that this is embarassing/worrying for WOTC as this is the second time in a couple of months that a full sheet of foils has been released into the wild. They are very likely to be far more likely to want to get that hole plugged so nothing more falls out early than taking punative action on the individual that put this sheet up on the net. If this individual does not co-operate yeah I could see them attempting to throw the book at them but they are most likely to employ some form of carrot first.

To answer one question first, that sheet is almost certainly coded for identification. That is standard practice even in supply chain applications that don't have security concerns. So if that information has been revealed, WotC can and will discover where this came from in a minute manner. If WotC knew to do this with secure information 17 years ago--as I can personally attest--they would have this in their system now.
This almost has to be theft from an industrial production facility. This is about the time that they would be printing, cutting, collating, and 'producing' the card packs for Ixalan, so yeah, someone probably just walked off with this. The best question to answer is how? This isn't a small item. Maybe it was rejected for quality reasons and someone retrieved it from the trash? Given that what I've seen of it implies it is a foil rare set, perhaps it was rejected for foil quality?
Anyway, the legal consequences of this can be severe if WotC can make it stick. Suing for damages would be straightforward and likely bankrupt the perpetrator. Say WotC is successfully able to argue that this will cause a net drop in their Ixalan revenue of 0.1%. Given what I believe to be their likely revenue per set, that is still an amount of damages higher than any likely perpetrator can pay.

But that won't do anything to discourage future leaks, but if they can get a prison sentence (and they can, as I said it is both theft and industrial sabotage), it would discourage a lot of future potential problems with leaks of this magnitude, much more effectively than any "slap on the wrist" would do.

While I 100% agree with you, krishnath--and isn't that a low-probability statement?--a criminal conviction is generally much harder to obtain than a civil court decision in WotC's favor.
And given the likely amount of damages, the effect would be virtually the same.

Both Theft and Industrial Sabotage are pretty damn easy to get criminal convictions in when there is abundance of evidence. The thief even made the bright decision to post the proof on the internet for all to see. They guy, when caught (and he will get caught, the genius posted the leaks to both Imgur and Reddit), will be facing down a very hard sentence. The average jail time in the US for theft is 10 years, industrial sabotage 20. The guy could be facing down 30 years of jail time for 15 minutes of internet fame. He is Fubar'ed, he just doesn't know it yet.

While I certainly hope that this is the result, there are a couple of other factors:
1) What is the jurisdiction? Has WotC moved their card production facilities back from Europe? If not, then jurisdiction is the first question, and what happens if that gets tied up?
2) The sheet itself is of laughably low value in the scale we are talking about. So any theft has to be theft of the Ixalan IP, which... is odd, given that the IP was made public, which generally lowers its value, no?
3) So the charge of Industrial Sabotage and violations of various IP protection laws are the likely charges to stick. But these laws vary considerably from my admittedly limited understanding. Specifically if 1) comes into play.
The issue is not whether they can get a conviction. The issue is the difficulty, the time, and other factors. Worst case scenario is something I don't like thinking about, but it popped into my head. We shall see, and I hope that the legal matter is settled quickly and in WotC's favor.

If WOTC can convince some one in a Federal court that it is worth taking on manybe, Again this is also presuming that they don't take jail time/prosecution off the table as an inducement to get who ever stole it/released it to get them help plug the gaping holes in the supply chain this sheet fell out of.

I think a harsh sentence is a much more effective deterrent for theft and industrial sabotage than a slap on the wrist. I would think most companies would agree.

Generally, it's just called Criminal Sabotage. Depending on the damages wizards claims it could be a felony.

My Peasant Cube (looking for feedback)
Chances are they have the guy on video unless he found some sneaky way to avoid it.
