So, let me get this straight, Bolas takes over a plane, enslaves all the gods, gets them and the people to do stuff for him. He protects his people with a super barrier from roving bands of zombies. The people build monuments and go through some intense combat training where the weak are culled and the best are 'collected' for some strange reason...
and then bolas is like "lol suckers, jk, I'm blowing up everything now"
WHY??? Is bolas Dr. Evil or something? There is no point to any of this...
He planned to use Amonkhet (and other planes) as a way to get back his god-like power, I presume there's a time restrain on Bola's part and he has no more use of Amonkhet after this.
Why destroy it? Despite Bolas's schematic mind, he is also an egoistic, sadistic dragon, violence is rare AND pleasurable.
By the ending of the trailer a chance he may have won and got his God esc powers back
But anyway now I Got be speculateing that the board sweeps will be based of the plagues of Egypt and the death one will be a alternate you lose the game card.

To the first post..... simple answer is YES
Secondly, he does seem EXTREMELY large and golden at the end of the trailer.
Something went right (for him, not for Amonkhet)
The way I see it, Bolas had this plane under his rule and had it set up for whatever purpose he had in mind. (I.e. the trials to create his army)
Then the Gatewatch show up and start their meddling, possibly causing so much disruption, that they anger Bolas enough that they bring his wrath down on the very people they were trying to help.
Considering the people and 5 original gods are probably nothing more than tools to Bolas, he probably has few qualms about just wiping them out.
the professor (tolarian community college)made a prediction that bolas would win from the looks of the trailer and from archenemy cards.
its looking pretty dang good of getting it right I mean bolas in the ending of the trailer is turning amonkhet to a train wreck in just one shockwave
The professor probably wasn't the first to predict that. 95% of vorthoses (vorthosi?) have been anticipating a Bolas victory, many of them even before Amonkhet's story began (the Gatewatch's hubris at the end of Aether Revolt's story seemed like some pretty obvious setup for their defeat). But yes, the evidence for a Bolas victory continues to pile up, and with this trailer it's as good as confirmed.
I was hoping we would get to see the other three Gods that used to exist on Amonkhet.
Of course, if there are only three more gods in Hour of Devastation, then we won't get a full cycle. I like full cycles, as do a lot of players. Won't bother me too much if they are stylish and impressive.
The other question about these three gods is what colour/colours will they be?
I would put my money on them being grixis colours, easier for Bolas to "use" if they are part of his colour identity, I guess. So would picture them as either mono colour (Blue, Black and Red), or they are two colours (Rakdos, Dimir and Izzet). But will have to wait until spoiler season rolls around for confirmation.
I just hope they have room for the enemy cycle fetch dual lands.
They better. I don't want to have to wait until the next time they bring back cycling, which might not be until Return to Amonkhet (if there's even going to be a Return to Amonkhet...)

Probably something to do with creating an army that will follow him to the ends of the multiverse. I hope there is one more planeswalker in HOU. This whole event is the perfect way to make people spark, even though the way its unfolding is so haphazard.
Maro has already confirmed that Amonkhet block has five planeswalker, which we now know to be Gideon, Liliana, Nissa, Samut, and Bolas. Aside from planeswalker deck cards, there won't be any more, unfortunately.
It seems much more likely that Bolas's endgame is making a zombie army to go through a planar portal than trying to get planeswalker minions. Believe me, I was on team planeswalker minions at first but at this point it seems super unlikely. For one thing, if he was trying to harvest planeswalkers, they almost certainly would have made the native planeswalker a minion of Bolas to show that. Instead, they did the exact opposite. (Side note: how convenient is it that the native planeswalker on a plane full of fervent God-Pharoah worshippers happens to be one of the extremely few people who actually opposes Bolas?) Plus, we know that Bolas actually controls the movement of the second sun so that he can decide to declare his return whenever he wants. So Bolas decides to return to his zombie factory right after Tezzeret brings him planar portal technology that only transports things that aren't alive. Coincidence? Probably not.
Regardless, it still makes sense for Bolas to kill everyone. He no longer wants gradual production of zombies and instead wants to get as many zombies as possible right away. He won't be able to produce more zombies over time, but he will get a bunch more immediately. This implies that he intends to use his zombie army sometime in the immediate future. Probably for a planar invasion. Or it could be that Bolas just gains more power through the destruction, by absorbing souls or mana or whatever. Maybe he wants both the zombies and the power boost. Regardless, Bolas is evil but he's pragmatic. If he's killing people, it means that he finds them more useful dead than alive.
I do not see an upload of the image for the new Bolas planeswalker deck card yet, so thought I'd add it for people to see in case they can't access the video for whatever reason (it's happened to me before).

The first picture is clearly not the same creature, it's something skeleton-based it seems.
An accursed god maybe?
We know it's not the same guy. There are three gods, and these pics show two of them; the one you're talking about is a scarab god, and the other guy is a locust god.
We don't know for certain what the third god is, but my money is on a scorpion.
Also, all 3 of them are "accursed" in the sense that Bolas corrupted them to a much greater extent than the 5 we currently have.

Because the GW came to Amonkhet, therefore plot needed to happen.
Because the GW came to Amonkhet, therefore plot needed to happen.
What is this even supposed to mean? There would have been a plot, regardless of the Gatewatch being there or not.
Tarkir time shenanigans happened without the Gatewatch. Rise of the Eldrazi happened when the Gatewatch wasn't even a thing officially. New Phyrexia, the Conflux, the end of The Great Aurora, the Mending, and so on and so forth.
Bolas would still be doing this, regardless of the Gatewatch's intervention. Yes, it's awfully convenient that they showed up right when the Hours were nigh, but convenience is not uncommon in stories like this.

And that's a good thing. Bolas is this fictional universe's version of the unstoppable super genius. Those kind of characters are at their best when they're winning no matter what because they've planned out every possible scenario. Think: Season 1 Rick Sanchez or Red Son's Lex Luthor. Obviously they need to suffer setbacks from time to time, but they should be rare and you absolutely can't murder off a character like this. And, you need to give the universes true baddies (Phyrexia and Bolas) victories to establish they are dangerous.
totally speculation but maybe the pantheon on Amonkhet is divided among 2 cycles, the ones with metal masks and the ones without. (i didn't read all the lores)
Maybe there are the "good" group ( black less) with masks ( Oketra, Kafnet, Hazoret, Rhonas) and the "bad" ones ( bontu and the corrupted gods ( White less ), soo in a way those gods could be UB, RB, and GB ( or U, R, G )
I don't think Emrakul counts there, since she deliberately orchestrated being imprisoned in the moon.
Yeah, the whole "you may think you defeated me, but it was part of my plan all along" thing is definitely shared by both Bolas and Emrakul (as well as Szadek, although he's a much smaller-scale villain than Bolas or Emrakul).

Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.
Doomsdayin'
Those are interesting pictures
So clearly locust god is getting a wrath effect.
The trailer did not do him/her justice. It looks badass. Cannot wait to see its card.
The trailer also deliberately didn't show the third god, which piques my curiosity.

Now that is a good question.
OK THAT'S IT
Picture number one confirms my theory about hour of devastation being focused on the plagues
The first picture is based from plague of the hail storm.
Also willing to wager that picture number two is invocation art of lightning bolt
It'll be an invocation, clearly.
And that's a good thing. Bolas is this fictional universe's version of the unstoppable super genius. (Quick shout out to the Eldrazi, ya'll are wimps)

again pure speculation.
