I'm actually really interested in the Commander products this time around. Vampires always need more reprints and it'll also be the second Mardu commander product and will likely have better synergy than Kaalia & co.
If the fourth tribe is Clerics, that's a plus for me, because I built an Orzhov clerics EDH deck prior to my LGS shutting down and goodness knows that tribe needs some serious support.
If, however, it's Dimir Rogues, I'm just as happy with that, since UB doesn't have a lot to make it a strong pairing except control pieces.
We've no guarantee that every face card is going to be an avatar.
We have seen 2 of them, and 2 having Avatars with Eminence seems to be a cycle starting up and I can't see them doing that for half the decks and not the other.
Two data points is not enough to determine a pattern. And eminence doesn't need to be attached to avatars.
Cause WOTC doesn't have a pattern of doing cycles?
Not everything WotC does is a cycle.
Just last year, only 3 out of the 5 face commanders were human. 2 out of 5 were from Alara. 2 out of 5 had keyword mechanics from old blocks.
In C15, only 3 of the 5 face commanders triggered off of casting spells of a certain type. Of those, two also cared about the spell's CMC.
In C14, only 3 of the 5 'walker commanders produced an emblem for their ult.
In C13, only 3 of the 5 face commanders got an effect that was boosted by the commander tax.
Coincidences happen; not everything is a pattern.
All 5 2016Decks had 3 partners.
All 5 2016 Decks had Undaunted
All 5 2016 Decks had Confluence
All 5 2015 Decks had Planeswalker commanders
All 5 2015 Decks had Lieutenants
All 5 2013 Decks had Tempting Offer
All 5 2011 Decks had Join Forces.
Usually when they do a new mechanic, all the decks get them.

The new mechanic is eminence, not being an avatar. Again, there's nothing saying that the eminence ability has to be on avatars.
Vampires? Hard pass for me. So far it looks like I'll be getting only one deck.
I'm not sure if the fourth deck really is Clerics. As someone already pointed out, that the commander has people kneeling around her is basically just the visual representation of Eminence. I would be really happy about Wizards or Rogues. Please no Human tribal because that's just super boring.
Not a huge fan of vampires and I'm a bit bummed there are no zombies, but I do look forward to these decks. This is the one product that WotC does well with and I always have fun thinking of new ideas for decks and playing with them right out of the box with friends for a little bit.
I'm curious to know what the last deck is but Dragons, Cats and Vampires all get a big Yes from me.
This is a good opportunity to reprint some more tribal oriented planeswalkers there such as Sarkhan, Ajani and Sorin and I hope they do.
Kinda sad that we didnt get angels but I was only interested in that for a possible Feather and a possible Serra planeswalker.
No, but it seems to be a very flavor oriented thing.
"The Ultimate Ideals of ____ tribe made flesh." which is sort of what Avatars are.
Flavor is extremely malleable in terms of using it to justify mechanics. Being an avatar is an easy way to justify eminence, but it's hardly the only or best way. For example, Edgar Markov is the first and oldest vampire on Innistrad. He created the race. There's not a single person, vampire or otherwise, on the entire plane who doesn't know who he is. Giving him eminence would represent the fact that he commands immense respect, and his influence can be felt everywhere on Innistrad, whether he's present or not.
the starting pool of creatures are quite balanced (with cats being a bit less present)

"The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again"
I'm hoping for Mardu Vampires myself, because it fits the art and finally gives Vampire fans the Mardu legend they've long wanted. Question is, who will the other two Vampire legends be? One could venture Falkenrath and Stromkirk, but nothing about them suggests they should be part white. Then again, one could say that about Edgar as well. The art also looks kinda Fire Emblem-esque, reminiscent of that series' Lords.
As for the fourth art, that one clearly looks UB or UBR. My guess is Wizards as those are a better fit for those colors than Clerics. Although, Rogues look like a good guess too, the cloaks and hoods definitely have a thieves' guild vibe to them.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

I imagine they could print a mono red stormkirk and either new mono black or BR Sengir card. Tasigur and the cat dragon got a new card in dragons without being 5 color, so there's precedent.
Finally Edgar, it’s been far too long, and finally a edh deck I can fit Yahenni in
If the deck is indeed mardu, then I would guess that Anje and Runo or two color legends, not mardu themselves.
Runo was a high priest before becoming a vampire, so he could be white/black. I know he was a priest of the god of the sea and storms, which sounds more like blue, but still.
Anjes bloodline is more about predation, even before the corruption of emrakul, so she could be a black/red legend.

Thanks to DarkNightCavalier from Heroes of the Plane Studios for this sick Signature.
Guess I should have seen this coming, with the Ixalan spoilers, it makes kind of sense.
Even though I did not expect much, this is even worse.
I mean, come on Wizards, after Dragons, now Vampires as well?? - Like they really need any more support...
Most likely, the last one is Clerics at least; they sure deserve it. We could get some sweet reprints (maybe even new art) and more new support.
Otherwise, I'll just have to pass on this one.
What if it's some lesser Kaalia cleric that just cares about angels and demons? Could be WB then, give us the WB sister angel, Serra card, etc. This is obviously wishful thinking, but who knows.
If the deck is indeed mardu, then I would guess that Anje and Runo or two color legends, not mardu themselves.
As a rule, Commander decks always have three choices for their commander (Dragons look to be an exception as they will have four legends with three new legends and Scion of the Ur-Dragon). If the Vampire deck is indeed Mardu, then there will be two other Mardu Vampire legends.

That would be quite the twist if ever. I just can't see any angel-related motifs to that female cleric(?) art...
Though something in my mind is nudging that the Edgar Markov deck might end up featuring the fourth Innistradi Angel sister. But IIRC, the sister colluded with Demons right? And the only link that the Innistradi vampires had with angels was that they tested on angels? My Innistrad lore needs some review....

hmm...
wasn't too hype about the dragons and cats (including cat dragons or dragon cats... whatever).
also somewhat sad that we didn't get spirits after all.
that being said edgar might earn himself a spot. if he is indeed mardu coloured that is. from his artwork I actually kinda think he does as it is fairly brightly coloured with his white hair and silver armour and stuff. actually colour wise it looks fairly boros coloured to me. I dont think they would print a boros vampire tribal deck though. so i think/hope that will be mardu.
the fourth deck also has me kinda intrigued, just because i like the artwork and I want to know what it ends up being. dimir rogues would make sense I guess.
Look on the bright side spirits in a way still got a better general O-Kagachi because now you can use UR spirits.
And for everyone else
It's got to be mardu vampire and for white vampires ixalan and zendikar helped
The colour scheme of the last one strongly suggests Dimir, so I'm more leaning towards Rogues myself, but Wizard is another possibility.
I highly doubt it's Clerics, since the colour scheme isn't hinting at white, and Clerics pretty much need white. Of course, it could be Esper Clerics for all we currently know, so we'll see.

I mean one image isn't really enough to go by. For all we know the new Vampire may be BWand not have R, or it could have no W and be RB. Despite the image looking very RWB. Hell watch it be Grixis.
It's not 100%, yes, but giving hints to the creature's colours in their art is nothing new.
Also, making (presumably) Edgar Markov Mardu would cover much of the Vampire tribe.
Do we actually know that's Edgar Markov? Just curious, because I see people on multiple threads saying it's him. Personally I'm just hoping for an updated Baron Sengir in Mardu colors.
When I bring up the color thing the best example I can think of is actually Liliana, Heretical Healer. People were speculating that she would be WB or even W transforming into B and that was based almost entirely on the art "looking" BW.
I personally still thinking that the last image is for Clerics, or a surprise Demons deck with the priestess in the image being a summoner.

The eyes are a trademark of the Markov bloodline, we don't have a card for him (unlike Sengir), and he's the progenitor of his entire race on Innistrad.
If anyone deserves to be the Eminence commander for Vampires, he's pretty up there, so I do believe it's him. I also did say "presumably" because it's still speculation.

Fair enough regarding the art in relation to mana colors, but I'm still holding to Dimir or Esper until proven otherwise.
This isn't the first time I've seen this about this possibly being a Demon deck, but I honestly think that if this was a Demon deck, we'd see a Demon commander in that art with other Demons gathering around it (because Eminence), not a human cleric (if that's what she even is) with other humans gathering around her.

In addition to the things Etherium Sage pointed out, there's also the fact that white hair is pretty rare among Innistradi vampires, with Sorin, Edgar's grandson, being one of the only examples we have. It makes sense that the MtG art director would want to link the two with some obvious visual indicator, like hair color.

Agreed
A better definition is a demon sub tribe for her deck.
Because black is definately a safe bet of one of the colors
But her main tribe is most likely one of the four
Wizard
Cleric
Rogue
Assassin
If it's assassin that's the real unexspected tribe and not cats
