I bet we could get a bunch of mediocre dragons demoted to uncommon like what happened to Archangel in Avacyn Restored. Also any iconic tribal deck would also have some cards outside the creature type that are simply synergizing with or referencing the iconic tribe e. g. Sarkhan's Rage or Dragon Fodder.
I know it's just a suggestion but I hope they do a little better than Sarkhan's Rage. Although now that you've said it I could see it EASILY.
Have Commander products bumped rarity up or down for any of the reprints in it?
I'd be surprised if the answer was no, but even if it was that doesn't necessarily mean they couldn't. Especially if it was the key to making a popular tribal deck like dragons work.
Another thing I hope they do is actually try to gives tribes some identity. Stay away from the "make tokens, get anthems and lords, 'all elves get (keyword)'" snore inducing filler and make each tribe do something different.
Yeah. It's why I think something like artificer or wizard is such a shoe-in. You really need a tribe who's wincon isn't "play x amount of y creature and then swing to win", otherwise all the decks are going to play very similar.
I figure at least two of the decks will be aggro, one being fast weenie aggro (Goblins, Soldiers, etc.) and another being fatty ramp (which is how I figure Dragons would work). But the other two probably won't be aggro; if the theme is Classes, then Wizards are the shoe-in for the control deck. However, it will be tricky building two non-aggro decks.
The main problem I see with Artificer is that Artificers aren't about tribal so much as artifacts matter. Artifacts with Artificer tribal would be the easiest way to make that work.
Another option I see is that three of the decks will have an aggro component, but each will attack from a different angle. The weenie deck uses tokens and anthems, the fatty deck uses ramp, the third deck builds creatures up with +1/+1 counters and maybe uses them as a resource, and the control deck revolves around abilities and spells. Of course, one of the four could be a grindy graveyard shenanigans deck, in which case Zombie tribal seems highly likely.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
To the people saying "Dragon " I would like to point out the rare count number, Their are lots of dragons in MTG but MOST of them are "rare" They will not print an edh deck that is chalk full of rares ( this is before considering other factors like mana base, enchantments, utility ect) So while dragons would be cool I think we need to temper our expections due to the limitedn umber of rares pritned in these products.

And from the new cards even more of these 2'types would be set to uncommon or common that's still good
And plus not all the spells are dragons
I am not sure what you are getting at with these 7 creatures. three are uncommon and the rest are rare or mythic. I was merely trying to temper exceptions, don't hope to crack a deck filled to the brim with every powerful dragon ever printed.
Holy cow, they won't do Eldrazi tribal. They have already said that making Eldrazi at lower CMCs took away from what the Eldrazi were supposed to be. Also, they just had a whole block of Eldrazi. There are so many other tribes that make more sense commercially and mechanically.

You are aware how much Ramp is in Eldrazi decks right?
Plus they would make most of them big CMC creatures just like they would
I'll be happy if they do at least one of the following tribes:
1) Faeries (So many cards need reprints for this tribe)
2) Zombies (because there are cards like Zombie Master that aren't on the reserved list, yet never had a modern border reprint.)
3) Elementals (Ashling, the Extinguisher is just so cool looking)
4) Knights or wizards.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!

You sure do *facepalm* a lot for someone whose posts frequently make no sense. Two of those seven cards are rare (and on the reserved list no less!) and two are mythic rare. Fewer than half of those seven cards are uncommon.
Faeries was a tribal I didn't expect, but then the only red faerie I could find was Wee Dragonauts.
I agree with the Zombie synopsis and really expect it considering the white zombie tribal of Amonkhet completing the color pie substantially.
However, if Elementals are FAR more likely, with the obvious inclusion of Horde of Notionsas a secondary commander choice.
I find any of knights/wizards/clerics to hold a equal chance for a spot when compared to each other. However, I feel as though they might go broader and just do human.
I'm almost afraid they might do Sliver...sure it would let new people in on the craze...but do we REALLY want that now that the game has shifted from "all slivers" to "all slivers you control"?
I don't think Angels will happen, what with the popularity of Atraxa. I think WotC will try to give other factions a taste of the limelight.
Elves are straight out of the question, due to 2014 commander. I'd agrue the same with giants a la 2015.
Eldrazi. Thanks to BFZ and OGW, it is feasible to run a five color eldrazi deck. The main reason I doubt this is NOT due to BFZ and OGW being essentially Ally vs Eldrazi, but the fact that there is no way they would print one of the three eldrazi titans as a five color variant (I mean, the stretch would be something like "Emrakul, Lunar-Fused" which would warrant a card expansion all to itself.
I can see dragons...maybe I should get more sleep.
I just hope each of the new decks features a commander that makes its tribe really shine - not just a simple +/+ but giving out a decent bonus to make pretty much anything with the buff being playable.

yeah. I figure an artifacts and artificers deck gives people the R/U artifact legend they've been clamoring for since Origins and scratches off a unique tribe in one hit. Wizards would be fine too, they could REALLY use a new legend that's more than one color. And isn't as immediately hateable as Azami.
I'm almost afraid they might do Sliver...sure it would let new people in on the craze...but do we REALLY want that now that the game has shifted from "all slivers" to "all slivers you control"?
Dormant Sliver and Shadow Sliver really puts a damper on that plan. Still, it's possible. Slivers wouldn't be bad to see, in commander they tend to be a bit slow compared to many creature decks. The real problem is just when there are about 5 or so out. I got my sliver deck beat by a Brago deck that bounced a few creatures, one which let it bounce my hivelord, and while it was exiled would take out my other creatures. And as long as there isn't a hivelord, mass removal should work as well.
Lots to choose from, high cost Eldrazi would not be a problem
Besides there's one acception for cheap eldrazis and that's the scion makers.
Also the new cards if Eldrazi might be new Ramp cards as well.
I'm not totally exspecting Eldrazi I'm just speculating.
I'm expecting Eldrazi, but with the recent ban of Sol Ring, I wouldn't expect that. Shouldn't be too hard to swap it out, though.
Sol Ring is not banend. Also just because if it was banned they won't make Eldrazi? that makes absolutelly no sense.
I still think Eldrazi aren't an option becaus of their strong tie to the lore. Unelss they make another legendary version of the Titans but they would msot likelly enrf them. I expect new legendaries from these products.

I really can't see how the story kicks them from the running
I mean atraxa was created from 4 out of 5 of the praetors and she wasn't in that story
Not known Titan leader(s) could get a exclamation why they were not spotted on zendikar (eldritch moon ending on the fat pack called the 3 current ones as known Eldrazi titans.)
And yea option B would be a tribal support versions of the known three before they were killed/imprisnoned

They could do an Emrakul in the moon, much akin to the Gods with limits on attacking and such. But if they do a Titan it would be incorrect to do any colors, removing Devoid Eldrazi from the possible lineup. They could, on the other hand, have a character like Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim that is loyal to the Eldrazi but colored. Hopefully b/r/u but w/e.

How can Emrakul fight in the moon? She's completely paralyzed and powers are disabled.
(By the way off topic with a story speculation I think emrakuls jail break will happen when new legendary Eldrazi titans come and use their powers to get Emrakul out of there.)
I'm saying is if new Titans is not a option we would get tribal support versions of Ulamog, kozilek, and Emrakul.
By the way I know devoid is unlikely but it was reminder in the story general tazri saw a future version of herself as corrupted by Kozilek. So 5-color could work.

Wizards has already announced that there will be 2 banned lists for MTGO on July 5th. One for 1 v 1 and one for multiplayer. As a point of fact, July 5th is about 50 days before the new paper commander decks hit the stores. I expect every deck will have a Sol Ring just as every deck they have made in the past does.

Only banned in 1v1 on Magic online. Thats compeltly diferent from a multiplayer focused real life product.
Me: it's banned.
You: it's not banned.
Me: it is banned, and here is a source. It cites that because it was banned on 1v1 and that's the main format, it is also banned in multiplayer to allow decks to switch between formats. Furthermore, if they make the decks available for digital play, it is not playable out-of-the-box. If it isn't playable out of the box they either need to digitally edit the deck so it doesn't match the paper product or release an unplayable product.
You: but it isn't real. The ban only affects digital.
Digital is actually a pretty big deal, comrade. It's highly unlikely they would create a ban that would make an upcoming release unplayable.

Ulamog created vampires while imprisoned, and was weaker than Emrakul. Emrakul chose to be imprisoned. There is no reason to think she's powerless. She's more akin to the king in the jail cell of Discworld than anyone actually shackled.
They have released Sol Ring in every commander set. While I understand your point about it being banned in Online 1v1, 1v1 makes up less than half of Commander, and Online makes up an even smaller percentage of that. Once a niche subformat becomes that small, Wizards will prioritize the vast majority in what they print. It is the same reason they print rares in the decks, despite them being de facto banned in Pauper EDH. Heck, I think even Pauper is a bigger subformat than 1v1 Online.
I know it's just a suggestion but I hope they do a little better than Sarkhan's Rage. Although now that you've said it I could see it EASILY.
