You may look at the top card of your library.
You may cast the top card of your library if it’s a creature card.
You may spend mana as though it were mana of any type to cast creature spells.

I really feel bad for the green god. The green god will be just a fattie with trample a bizarre condition to be creature and a overcosted ability that gives litte advantage. Then we have this guy, pure value machine. After the several underwhelming mythics we saw until now, finally something that is really impressive.
So close to being modern playable. Likely an EDH all-star but that's about it.

That four toughness is definitely something. I think that people will probably underestimate him the same way that people underestimated Courser of Kruphix.

That's kinda how I feel as well, but maybe the three remaining Gods that we'll see this week are the better Gods and will actually be really good.
But this card is just really nice overall. Even if it won't be in anything beyond Standard and EDH, at least this is exciting. At least this is a card that players might want to consider building around. Will the green god be able to compete with that?
though i dont see him getting playtime in modern, unless there is a stompy or wide deck that wants him. Standard though should be good since control is all but dead
Is "mana of any type" standard terminology? Not "mana of any color"? I am assuming the reason for this wording is that it allows you to play colored mana as colorless. Probably not a big deal, but there may be an interesting interaction there.

Eldrazi from BFZ block. Since it's any type, you can tap colored mana for colorless.

"The essence of every world, every spell and every thought is power. Nothing else matters, because nothing else exists."
Wow! This is probably the first card in the set I'm genuinely excited to see. Three abilities stapled onto a reasonably statted creature. This is such a nice card. Its cost is unobtrusive, so it can be played across all colors. I really have nothing negative to say about this card. Even if you never cast a single creature off this card, the ability to look at the top card of your deck still feeds you information, and if nothing else that's worth something. Heck, it can even potentially manafix.
An amazing creature.

This has potential for my Intet Dragons deck. On the other hand, four is a lot to pay for a non-Dragon creature as the deck's curve is already ridiculously high.
For one more mana you could have Magus of the Future if in blue. It's great card advantage for decks without access to blue, though.

Or Snow Mana! I'm calling it first, Snow Mana Confirmed returning 2017!
Or Snow Mana! I'm calling it first, Snow Mana Confirmed returning 2017!
Or Phyrexian mana! I'm calling it first, phyrexian mana confirmed returning in 2017!
see what I did there? this doesn't confirm anything besides the fact that it was meant to allow you to cast colorless creatures using colored mana since BFZ is still in standard. Just because the possibility of being able to cast anything using any type of mana is there doesn't mean we're getting snow or phyrexian mana back
Except there are no such things as snow or phyrexian types of mana. These terms are used for mana costs and determine the way those costs should/could be paid.
You know, I was originally hyped for the Gods of Amonkhet. For commander possibilities or at least one of my 99. But cards like this are making me forget about them. Shoot, Rhonas (the G God), just probably isn't going to compare to this guy.
He does everything my Animar deck wants:
1. He lets me check the top of my deck anytime I want without showing everyone else.
2. I cast creature cards anytime I've got mana.
3. He fixes that mana for me.
4. He's a decent body so don't have to worry about him as much.
This guy and Prowling Serpopard are gonna make my deck so happy! Screw the kinda disappointing Gods, if the rest of the set contains even just a few more gems like this, I'll be happy.
Garruk's Horde just got replaced in a good portion of green decks. Seems they want to push more for "look at top of library any time" effects over the old "play with top card of library revealed" effects. Works for me.
Also, that has got to be the cutest snake face ever. :3 I'm picturing him just standing there, tongue darting in and out, while his animal friends gather round.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
This card is great, practically goes in any deck with enough creatures in EDH and this just might be good enough for Standard, highly doubt Modern but a man can dream.
Only one nitpick I have is that you'd think this would be a Shaman or Druid rather than a Cleric.

This comes down earlier to maximize its value.
I am a Cube player though, and this is going in.
A pity that neither Naga or Cleric are well supported in green though, Elf Shaman/Wizard would have added a lot of extra synergies.
Not sure that it'll get there in constructed (maybe with Glimpse of Nature) but it's a great card for EDH and the like.
Machius proudly supports R_E's right to Rumour!
I dare say it could see modern play in some zoo builds for late game breath
