Those full art god images are stunning. The full images add even more to the Egyptian theme. NAILED IT!
That picture of Nissa in the Egyptian temple flanked by jackal statues. PLEASE may that be her PW card. OR a card at all!
Gideon art looks strange to me. Especially the leg. Yet still oddly interesting. Not sure how I feel about it yet. It's both unattractive and oddly intriguing.

So Nissa's getting *another* card?
Jeez, they're trying a little too hard to make sure we don't forget about the Gatewatch.
That, and having single color PW allow more decks to include them readily.
Theros Gods were created via people's faith, but these are created by Bolas, so they might be multicolor artifact creatures, or legendary artifact enchantment creature - God. Just kidding, I doubt they'd make it that wordy.
Hmmm, I pinned the croc god as the Red one. But that sure is an undead army.
Anyway, too bad Bolas' gods can't go vs. Ugin's dragonlords.
The croc could be a Jund or Mardu god.
Ugin's dragons may well be the reason why Bolas want an army of his own. Dragons vs gods' chosen ones, that'd make a nice pair of dual precons "Ugin vs Bolas".
And then some. They honestly have three color vibes about them. Anubis lady feels Grixis, for one.
I was thinking the same thing while looking at these. Very curious if they do shard or wedge gods, but it seems very likely that they'll be three colored
It would make some sense to do shard gods in Amonkhet and wedge gods in Hour of Devastation, or vice-versa. I think having a cycle in both sets would make a lot of sense, and that would be one of the ways of doing it. It's certainly what they did in Theros.
Then again, that would suggest there be a lot of three+ color support in the block, and I'm not sure that's likely. Bolas is well known to be Grixis, so it wouldn't be all that shocking to see a multicolor theme.

Given that Bolas himself is Grixis colors, if these Gods are three-color, I fully expect them to be shard-colored. (Assuming that Bolas's inevitable card is Grixis) I consider it far less likely for us to get both shard and wedge-colored mythics in the same block.

Oh from the full photos I can definately pin on they're going to be three color gods.
Oh by the way seriously you guys still think the alligator is red? That's a zombie/mummy army near him he's bringing them to life.
Its quite true that the crocodile god has a legion of undead around him as he kneels, he might be a mix of three or perhaps more deities. Anubis, Sobek, Hathor, Ma'at, Nephthys, Osiris and Tawaret come to mind as inspirations. Each of which govern over the dead in one manner or another. Perhaps though that wizards gave each amonkhet god a different role with how they govern the dead.
I think it would be cool if the newer gods were coloured artifacts with devotion in contrast to the Theros ones.
Also I think it's likely for Gideon to go out as well. Mainly because most of his newer walker set it up for him to ult and go then stick around like most other walkers. Also Ajani just showed up like Mr. Mistoffelees for some apparent reason to help out, which seems too coincidental.
I really hope the go with that list as that would open up the potential for a Noble Hierarch reprint in standard. Ah who am I kidding. It would never happen, not anymore at least.
I don't really care either way if one of the gatewatch dies in this block, but if they do, it would be really cool to see a hero's downfall reprint in hour of devestation with Bolas killing say Gideon in the artwork. that would be a neat way to do it.
They just released a 4-color commander product but they may have tried a lot of things in design and some of them could have ended on the creation of Amonkhet. So it would still be plausible to have them 4-colored if they have great design ideas they want to show off and if they want to give players more options for 4-color commander, because the current ones are pretty much each geared towards a specific deck type.
Speaking of the art in the packs, since we always get at least one PW in the arts (since Fate Reforged at least), do you think that Sphinx is a PW?
I thought that immediately upon seeing that booster art. Players have been asking for a sphinx planeswalker for a long time, and what better place to unveil one than in Egypt world?

They don't even like llanowar elves anymore. There's 0 chance they reprint the best 1-mana ramp creature of all time in standard.

If I recall, people who were at the Hasbro toy fair (where they were first revealed) said they were told the woman was a new planeswalker. Which if true, leaves me with lingering arlinn kord/saheeli rai irrelevancy vibes.
I would absolutely eat a box of Eternal Masters for a Spinx planeswalker. What better place than here, what better time than now?
it wouldn't be the first time we see 4 colour creatures in standard, nephiliMs did happen. the mana base would have to be right for it to work, then again maybe that's why tezzeret makes aetherium cells as his + ability (I'm assuming it's to help summon his master Mr. bolas). I wouldnt be surprised if there isn't surprised me theme of making or working towards some masterwork (like the pyramids).
Sacrifice 5 creatures and transform land, land transforms into mana generator , tap for 5 mana of any colour
or sacrifice 5 creatures and this land, look in your library put creature on battlefield.

While I agree with you on Hierarch never seeing standard again, I don't think it's the best mana dork out there. That title goes to Deathrite Shaman

He's certainly a better card, but he does so much more than just make mana (and there's lots of times he can't make mana - just not in eternal formats) that I tend to not group him in with the mana dorks.

Did they say that? She looks WB to me, which would be odd with mono-W Gideon and mono-B Lili already in the set. If she is a PW, it would be cool if she is based on Cleopatra and ends up going to Theros someday and becoming relevant there.

These aren't zombies. Wotc is going to introduce a new creature type called ''Alien''. How else could they have built the pyramids then?
