MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
This is going to have a huge impact on EDH. Basically what makes Sigarda so annoying is when she puts on her Darksteel Plate and suddenly you're looking for anything as an answer. (You can either exile the plate or cast something like Final Judgment at that point.)
This is as close to giving everything "Sigarda is so annoying" as you'll find on one card.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
What's funny is that, in one of the story articles, Ajani mentions that his axe doesn't need to be sharp; it's the weight of the blade and the speed of the swing that makes it deadly. So, really, it's not that it's sharp, it's that Ajani can, apparently, swing it really fast.
:-D
Must be a hell of a speed when an axe that is not sharp slices a thrown net in twain... oh well,Magic
Didn't you know? Ajani can swing his axe at hypersonic speeds, forming a blade of air around the leading edge. Honestly, the weapon is just for show; he coulda cut the net in half with his elbow if he'd really wanted.
This is great!
Now any EDH deck even splashing Green has a great card to deal with sweepers.
The hexproof mode is far less useful,
but still extremely nice to have.

More reasons to love Ajani. He's like the Chuck Norris of Leonin at this point.

"Ajani's tears can reverse both phyresis and eldrazi corruption. Unfortunately, Ajani doesn't cry."
"Ajani doesn't planeswalk. The multiverse itself shifts the planes around him to put him where he wants to be, because the multiverse knows better than to keep Ajani from his destination."
"When a person ascends, they become a planeswalker. When a planeswalker ascends, they become Ajani."
"Ajani's left eye works just fine. The reason he keeps it shut is to spare everyone what happens when he glares at you with both eyes."
I was about to say that this should not be rare, but Aether Revolt is not the set to make this complaint about. So... cool card, I like it. Cherrypicked modes from Simic Charm and Boros Charm.
I`m not an Infect player, but I`m pretty certain it`s a hell no. The difference between one and two mana is nothing short of monolithic. Most mainboards run a grand total of 4 cards that cost more than one mana, and they are all called Blighted Agent.
That is both true and false. Yes the difference between one and two is very high but it's also because this provides no increase to power and toughness that is the problem. Vines of vastwood gets play because it serves the same purpose and provides the power and toughness increase. Your line of thought is right but two mana in that deck should be winning you the game. which is what vines does.
In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck ********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like this to occur and validate you.

This is originally what really attracted me to Ajani when I first got into MTG. I knew how powerful Bolas was Bolas was supposed to be so reading how he sent Bolas running had MD all "He did what?! How?!" Fortunately, what I got from reading through the character more is who I belive to be the most well developed planeswalker we have.

I'm loving this for standard though. Blossoming Defense 5-6 or just a SB card against sweepers? Don't know yet, but it's going in my 75.
Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.

No pump, no Livewire Lash trigger. I'd stick with Vines of Vastwood.

I'm pretty sure he earned that label when he kicked Nicol frickin' Bolas off Alara with an effigy of his own spirit. After only recently learning to planeswalk, no less! Now that has got to be a heaping helping of humble pie for the mighty Elder Dragon. "You've been a planeswalker for millenia. I've been a planeswalker for a few days. Get out."
