Heart of Kiran 2
Legendary Artifact - Vehicle Mythic
Flying, Vigilance
Crew 3
You may remove a loyalty counter from a planeswalker you control rather than pay ~'s crew cost.
4/4
It can block, though, right? If they're charging at your planeswalkers, wouldn't you rather pay 1 loyalty counter to block? It'd likely do less damage, and you may even take out one of their guys.
I wouldn't mind +1 Tamiyo to this thing, swinging for 4 in the air, drawing a card, then keeping it open for blocking -- which I would also draw a card if my opponent decided to swing into it.
I'm gonna assume Chandra is powering it, story-wise. Like blasting fire into a aether power core or something - that's what the alternate cost feels like.

DECKS:
Commander:
Aurelia the Warleader - Combat Tricks and Swarm
Oloro, Ageless Ascetic - Lifegain/Lifedrain Pillowfort
Trostani, Selesnya's Voice - Token Assault
Meren of Clan Nel Toth - Reanimator Value
Mizzix - Out of the Box Spellslinger
This is the best planeswalker protection and vehicle ever printed. It crews itself for a 4/4 Flying Vigilance? That's insane.
Just imagine how much better it would be if it weren't legendary...
It would be nice but this is already aggressively costed for an easy crew with Toolcraft Examplar and other means besides PWs. I wonder how much they're stretching out design space in this set.

"The essence of every world, every spell and every thought is power. Nothing else matters, because nothing else exists."
I absolutely refuse to remove a planeswalker loyalty just to use it I would rather crew 3
Besides it has no benefits of attacking if it had first strike or trample then we can start talking.
What???
No benefit of attacking? Its an evasive 4/4? For 2! And Vigilance! This an absolute house with Elspeth, Knight Errant and Ajani, Caller of the Pride. Perfect curve too. This basically gives every planeswalker Koths ability, on steroids.

Actually I just realize all the walkers with +2 or higher.
And also a panic button for tricks of making creatures.
This is pretty ludicrous. This can easily be crewed into a 5/5 vigilant flyer on turn 3 by Veteran Motorist. There is no point in the game where a 4/4 vigilant flyer for 2 isn't going to be relevant.

I wonder how many more cards have direct interactions with planeswalker loyalty counters. Probably only at rare/mythic, but still, both of the mythics spoiled so far have it.

I love the flavor of this, I can totally see Chandra hijacking this with a pyro display.
This seems too good. It's at least as good as smuggler's copter, but it might be even better.
Having 4 toughness is pretty huge, dodges harnessed lightning, eats copters, doesn't die to avacyn flip if that ever comes up.
4 power means it kills Gideon in one swing and trades with avacyn.
All in all this seems like a great tool for u/w and against u/w.

If MTG is a part of your life, the formats are like relationships:
Standard/Block = The on-again, off-again holiday fling
Modern/Vintage/Legacy = Stable, homely. A ***** after absence/misreading
Limited/Sealed = Heart breaking free spirit
Commander/Cube = Agreeable, needy and expensive
Pauper/Peasant = Sweet, kind, practical, but shy and boring
I'm glad to see loyalty counters finally be used as a resource. I've been waiting for a card like this for a long, long time... Also, the flavor is hard to beat - it's fueled by Chandra's tears.
Man, if the AER Tezzeret turns out to be as good as expected based on his Planeswalker Deck card...this card along with Yahenni's Expertise could be bonkers.
won't see that much play because Smuggler's Copter is a card, but it's a fair magic card.
awesome protecting walkers.
This isn't a card that a Smuggler's Copter deck wants to play (Crew 1 vs Crew 3, payoff and synergy with planeswalkers vs payoff for creature decks) but is an outstanding answer to the card itself.

I could see WR vehicles play a few copies of this card. veteran motorist, depala, pia nalaar, Toolcraft exemplar and gideon from the sideboard can all pilot this card on their own. I'm not saying its as good as Smuggler's Copter but if you want a few more two drops which WR vehciles wouldn't mind then this is a great option.

I hate that RW vehicles will be able to play this.
Where is my Doom Blade wizards???
Maybe other vehicles in this set will have different ways to crew?

Now we have the rebel equivalent Heart of Kiran MC80 Star Cruiser.
Looking forward to the "It's a Trap!" instant that should be spoiled soon.

Wasn't that card Deadlock Trap in Kalendesh? Though that wasn't an instant.
+1 a walker after taking a counter to activate a 4/4 flying vigilance? I think you're expecting too much from a two drop.
