I am curious what themes we'll be seeing in the future.
What may we see from Amonkhet? Enchantments? What about Return to Return to Ravnica? Perhaps we'll see old Ravnican legends? I'd be all over a new premium version of Lazav.
I love the selections and the art, but I hate the idea of this new ultra-Mythic rarity. It creates a lot of feel-bad, and MaRo's being disingenuous when he says that this decision was made to partly answer the need for certain reprints. These will be so expensive, and in such low supply, that it will make absolutely no difference. Damn they're pretty though.

I would guess we are almost 100% guaranteed to see a set where they do ultra-premium Legendary Creatures—
that's arguably an even bigger market for blingers than lands.
Momir Vig, Simic Visionary
Melek, Izzet Paragon
Oona, Queen of the Fae
Bruna, Light of Alabaster
Gisela, Blade of Goldnight
Rhys the Redeemed
Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord
Sen Triplets
The Mimeoplasm WUBRGSliver OverlordGRBUW WUBRGSliver Hivelord(Superfriends)GRBUW
I can honestly say that I would be happy with opening any of them with two exceptions: Aether Vial and Painter's Servant. It is not that I don't think they are good cards, but I would never use the former, and the latter is banned in the format I prefer to play. With everything else, I'd be just peachy as they are all usable by me.
Well, if you happen to pull one of those I can promise you that there will be people wishing to trade for them, or buy them off you. So it wouldn't be a total loss.

I feel like allowing these to be played in limited is a mistake.
Having someone at a GP have a fetchland, or even a stripmine - sure, that's ok but whatever.
But a bonus sword of fire and ice? Or a sol ring? There is a reason sol-rng is generally considered one of the best - if not the best - cards you can open in fully powered cubes, or otherwise unpowered cubes - the card is actually obscene in limited. Having one or two people at a GP randomly get one seems crazy.
The collector's numbers are actually very interesting. It's clear that the 49 non-gearhulk cards are in alphabetic order (even has the first three swords alphabetically). KLD, containing 25/49 of those, got all the way to Sw. Therefore the 22 non-sword Inventions in AER should all be after Sw, which is kind of a tight fit. Gets a lot easier with a cycle of 5, but I can't think of any that fit off the top of my head.
Besides the amazing cool awesome blah blah super rare cards that they are, this intrigues me most.
Either they start over alphabetically or we got 24 cards from SW- to Z-.
It does seem a tight fit. The other swords, wurmcoil engine will be there and fit and so does a Duran Orb finishing it off Need others to help fill in the other 20
Edit: Well that's a funny autocorrect. Zuran Orb:)

These look gorgeous, a lot better than the expeditions. I want them all especially the swords. But if my luck from bfz is any indicator, I'll end up with a gearhulk and something im indifferent to

Indeed, heck, I might even be able to get a revised era dual or two for one of them if I'm lucky.
On one hand, Crucible is nice here - but on the other hand now I am worried we aren't going to see it reprinted normally anytime soon...
MaRo has confirmed that inclusion in "Masterpieces" will not preclude cards from seeing reprint in normal ways. That means, that that the possibility of Crucible of Worlds to show up in MM17 has not been reduced because of its inclusion in Kaladesh Inventions.
This is pretty ridiculous though. Granted very limited quantities but wow. Just lots of good stuff.
Hey what's an amazing artifact? Put it in! Then they repeated that 20+ times so far and with another 20+ coming.
I mean wow just one after another.
Has it been confirmed the other 24 in a ether revolt are artifacts? The number crunch is throwing me off.

Which is kind of dumb after reading Maro's article today where he explains that part of the reason for these is that these cards can't be reprinted in Standard without warping it. Crucible of Worlds would barely scratch Standard unless fetch lands were present.

I'm pretty agog over the swords and overall I want the Mana Vault and Mana Crypt for a friend. Doubt this has any impact on reprints though, I still expect Aether Vial in the next Modern Masters, for example. Love the flavor text!

Hopefully since the polling about FTV foiling was a landslide against that type of foiling, they'll begin experimenting with new exclusive borders/foil for future FTV sets. Because these are going to look really elegant. (and damn do I wish FTV angels got this kind of treatment...)
So I now have a dream. Pro player opens sol ring in the top 8 of a GP limited event and takes it. Bet some people would still stupidly claim he moneydrafted.
