As expected, every page needs a post explaining how Take Inventory works. Better get used to explaining that one. I bet more than a few people will have
608.2k As the final part of an instant or sorcery spell’s resolution, the spell is put into its owner’s graveyard. As the final part of an ability’s resolution, the ability is removed from the stack and ceases to exist.
memorized by the end of this Standard season.
I'm pretty high on Nibilis of Frost honestly. Although maybe that's just because I wish Disciple of the Ring was played more.
Sanctifier of Souls and Niblis of Frost seem really good for the blinking spirit deck they are going for.
While I'd love to put the Alphas in my werewolf deck, six is just a little too much for me.

I compare Lone Rider to Seeker of the Way, a card nobody really notices in spoiler season, but a card that has a huge impact on standard. (seeker was in the winning deck of the first SCG Open after it was released).
Niblis of Frost sure looks like the only somewhat competitive card from this batch. Lone Rider seems very narrow and 1/1 is so damn fragile if you can't meet the conditions to flip.
It's an instant speed 5/5 trampler for 4. Wtf do you people want seriously? It has applications in populate/ above the curve beats decks, or in Bant control/ flash. I seriously think anyone mad at this card for any reason other than losing an attacker to instant speed wurm, should go home and make their own awesome card game and leave the rest of us alone.
This set looks awesome. Ulvenwald Observer will likely be going into my Ghave deck. And if I want to be a spike, Noosegraf would be an autoinclude... Doubling Season and Cathar's Crusade loooooovvvveee that card. I know it makes no sense, but if Niblis of Frost was a monk it would be one of the best cards in my Shu Yun deck. (Damn you flavor!)
I love this set. I was right about DFC eldrazi and I like they way they ended up turning out. I think the lone rider is pretty good, fishman not so much. the intro pack rares are always meh with maybe nibilis as the exception to the rule.
NEW ACCUMULATED KNOWLEDGE!? I didn't see that one coming. sorcery speed is hardly going to stop me from playing this one.
Divination was NOT considered playable from 2009-2013. When M14 was released in fall of 2013, it began to see occasional play in Esper and UW control. It is only considered playable in the radically low power environment of some recent Standard formats.
It That Rides As One is simultaneously an amazing aggro play while also being a card that actually makes life gain relevant and worth it.
Is it really an aggro card? A 1/1 for 2 certainly doesn't fit that mold. If you manage to flip it on T2, then kudos to you and it fits the bill perfectly because now you're swinging with a T3 4/4 first striking lifelinker. If you don't flip it T2, you have to wait for it to flip at the end of T3, so you're not swinging with a 4/4 first strike until T4 - and you dedicated resources to playing it and meeting its flip condition on the previous 2 turns. Feels like it's a bit too conditional or slow for an aggro build.
I will fully admit that I am not a constructed whiz and I only play casually, so my thoughts here are genuinely inquisitive and not at all a condescension or rebuke of your post.
edit: 1,000th post. not particularly dramatic, is it?
Thats a pretty accurate analysis. Consider serra avenger. Can you make your It That Rides As One reliably come online before turn 4? Turn 3 is already probably requiring suboptimal cards in standard. A 1/1 lifelink for 2 mana is so underpowered you'll never be able to swing into an enemy board unless its empty, so as far as board state, its effectively a useless removal bait until its online
The payoff is good enough that if there was some awesome lifegain deck that could gain 3 life in one turn from its landbase to the point its as common as mana, but anything short of martyr of sands or soul sisters I doubt
Galvanic Bombardment, they just don't want mono red to be playable do they. When is red going to get a decent burn spell the can go to the face. Never thought I would see a time in standard when Volcanic Hammer was to good.
I think Take Inventory is gonna be an all-star for standard. Possible slots where you wont have to just cycle 2 it: UR control, and possible new decks like a UB Zombies or Sultai Delirium.
Galvic Bombarment (if it could target players) round 1: 2 damage, Round 2: 3,4 damage Round 3: 5 damage while magic Christmas land, 14 damage in 3 rounds makes it where they can't allow it to target players.

Aggro are always looking for cards that scale well for the mid game. If there were Rancor in the format maybe it gets there. At the moment we have only like Gob war paint to get it to 3 power on its own cheaply. But it has a good payoff if a good way emerges.
I don't think Take inventory is worth 4 card slots in your deck, You would be better off running something like a couple Jace's Ingenuity . The only reason Accumulated Knowledge was so good is because it could be played at the end of your opponents turn, or in response to them playing a spell.
Sanctifier of Souls - Would have been cooler if you could exile creatures from your opponent's graveyards. Nibilis of Frost - the Best of the Bunch, I suppose. Also has super cool artwork. Assembled Alphas - Not bad, but kind of expensive. Noosegraf Mob - Should have entered the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it for each creature card in your graveyard. At least then it would have been scalable and outrageous at times, and maybe even playable in some constructed decks of lower tier. With this, well,... Idk. It's pretty boring and looks like a really bad version of Diregraf Colossus. Ulvenwald Observer - Not cool. Soul of the Harvest & Harvester of Souls were so much better. How come this couldn't have been a death-trigger version of that? Smh

Yea, and usually I look to Magic as an escape from current events.
bad that it doesn't shoot in the face
I guess people are going to Invoke Prejudice
Club Flamingo Wins: 1!
Because AK counts your opp cards as well, and WOTC don't want cards to be able to punish you in an implicit way.

Always Watching UW shell looks strong.
When you have one archetype dominating I just think that Wizards haven't done their job properly in balancing it.
that seems really strong. UW was solid before but its getting some sweet toys now
