Seems like a fine card, it's not Huntmaster but Huntmaster is pretty insane. I will be blown away if Werewolf decks become a thing in Standard and this guy is not a part of them.
Ugh...I mean, neat card, but...I really wanted a werewolf commander that benefited playing werewolf tribal in some way. Like a werewolf that lets you pay mana to transform your werewolves or something.
It's unfortunate that he doesn't have any specific werewolf synergies though. No "All wolf and werewolf creatures you control get +1/+1" or anything like that, which is kind of my biggest complaint about him. Without any sort of lord ability he kind of just feels like a creature version of Arlinn, which tempers my enthusiasm.
Still, at least we finally have a legendary werewolf!

Well, no legendary creature from Innistrad set had tribal synergies. Mikaeus didn't boost Humans, Grimgrin didn't boost Zombies, Olivia didn't help your Vampires, she could only change opponent's creatures into Vampires then steal them. This guy is meant to RECEIVE tribal synergies, not generate them.
For five mana, would adding 'and gains trample' to the ETB/front flip trigger be too much?
And I'm not the biggest fan of Werewolves, but I do agree with the sentiment that some ability to help other werewolves flip would have done wonders for this card.

I think he probably fits more of the I am a tough werewolf and will help out random guys with my human side, but once I go into werewolf form i just straight up murder someone.
You don't have to be a lord to prove you are the legendary werewolf, especially for a tribe like werewolf that has more of a loner aspect to them in most media.
Ruric Thar or Radha, Heir to Keld are still better commanders for Werewolves than this punk. Sorry Werewolf players... this is not the werewolf commander you were looking for. Werewolves of the Homarids of Modern Magic. I was hoping for Ixidor, Reality Sculptor for werewolves. This... this is so boring. Can't even control his own form.

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.
He's disappointing, guys...it needs a build around deck. It could make the cut into standard as top of the curve in a zoo-like deck, but that's all. Sadness...no modern viable legendary werewolf...

I personally was hoping for something like
"nonhuman werewolf creatures you control cannot transform,"
but I learned to quit expecting WotC to print what I wanted a while ago

That wouldn't be ideal, because there are some werewolves you want to transform back and forth (Huntmaster of the Fells, Afflicted Deserter, and Duskwatch Recruiter, to name a few). What it SHOULD have been was a creature that lets you do something (pay mana, tap, whatever) to transform target werewolf. What Werewolves really need isn't a form locking card or a lord, it's a consistent way to transform back and forth. Right now all we have is a one-shot in the form of Moonmist, or relying on your opponent to cast two spells and choosing to time walk yourself.
I suppose there's no hope of getting one of the other pack alphas is there?
Ugh that set symbol....
Don't mind the set symbol. Cute little baby squid...
interesting design.
(well, no GW human... yet...)
Too bad this guy is kinda bland-
He's not much more interesting than Huntmaster of the Fells,
but I'm glad he exists!

Kinda meh, repeatable fight is nice and the +4/+4 is a decent buff, but a little lack luster all around. Wanted Tolovar, got Ulrich
Standard - Some kind of control
Modern - UB Mill (casual)
EDH - Meren's Grave Shenanigans
(Also known as Xenphire)

T2 Duskwatch Recruiter, or Lambholt Pacifist
T3 Geier Reach Bandit
T4 Arilinn Kord
T5 Ulrich, give him haste with Arlinn
He can come down on Turn 4 with a flipped Duskwatch, sure, I'll try this. Maybe the werewolf deck can get there, lets see what else it gets.
Modern: Decks I'm playing right now:
G Mono Green Tron (34-10-3 paper record, only SCG/Regionals/PPTQ record)
C Eldrazi Tron (9-5)
UG Infect
RW Burn
