I don't know about you guys, and maybe because English is not my mother tongue, but isn't this literally a rumor ? is in't this forum a place where we can discuss about a "statement or report current without known authority for its truth" ? The dude had leaked some true and some false rumors, why not talk about the actual rumor instead of just bringing hate to the guy ?
The "Rumor Mill" has been a misnomer for years now.
I just don't understand the hate, he brings us rumours. I actually enjoy them and take it for what it is. Some are true and some are false. Personally I would like OO to keep posting stuff. If I were him I'd never post here again reading the **** that gets thrown over him.

If everyone were allowed to just post random predictions and false leaks as facts, reading this subforum would be completely worthless. Look at the Rumor Mill forum now, and imagine that every third thread was "Brainstorm is going to be banned in Legacy next month", "Mirage fetches in EMA confirmed", "Goblin Guide is in Eldritch Moon", "Chrome Mox unbanned in Modern", "FNM promo for August is Thoughtseize", "Wizards ABUR dual land buyback program", all stated as facts with false sources and/or photoshops. Would you read that forum? I sure wouldn`t bother.

When I hit my 3000 post mark, I'm gone for good.
Stay reasonable, be mindful of your expectations and don't feed the trolls.
People give oblivioned one an awful lot of hate. I have followed him so I get notifications on what he posts and on almost every single post he has made he is immediately ripped on for not having pictures or some other reason. He has provided more credible spoils than most people. If you want my opinion I think he gets the card spoils from somewhere/someone that is a primary source. But I also think that he takes stuff he sees on the internet and posts on it. Odds are his attention is going to his head so he is no making posts about stuff that he honestly doesn't know about but has an educated guess on. Say the U/B jace he found somewhere and thinks that it makes sense so he'll throw it out there. Same with the eldrazi thing, he has plenty of attention and Helen Keller could have seen a ban somewhere in the deck coming. The community has been throbbing over the reserved list for months now especially after the rule on proxies and with the release of Eternal Masters which is not Legacy Masters or Vintage masters suggests something more. He believes that there is a new format coming based on the evidence and decides that because of his popularity in the community he could say something on it. Odds are his post caused an uproar and is what triggered the post from whoever it was saying there is no new format. Personally I'll still trust his card spoils but the vague stuff I'll stay away from.
I wonder if his 'source' for the new format claim is the same source that told him about UB Jace. If so, he should really stop listening to anything that person says lol
I'll continue taking his leaks as more likely than not, since (and correct me if I'm wrong here) his track record is still something like 75-80% correct. I really don't get why he gets so much hate from these forums: he gets dumped on the moment he claims anything, then, as this thread shows, the dumping increases tenfold when he's wrong. Am I just missing the pages and pages of flak that every other leaker gets when they're wrong, or is it really only OO that gets this treatment?
Either way, O-bone, maybe you should take a little break from posting leaks from less than reliable sources.
OO gets that much "hate" not for being wrong but because he's a jerk. He gets mad whenever someone asks for proof of his claims, and tends to do childish things like posting on the thread of an already officially spoiled card "LOL I already knew about this months ago but didn't tell anyone because this forum isn't constantly licking my boots like I deserve for being such a special snowflake".
Also after his initial BFZ leaks every following leak he has made was either obvious ("Eldrazi are getting the banhammer in Modern") or flat out wrong ("this card I stealed from Custom Card Creation is totally on SOI"), so it's quite difficult taking him seriously. As other people have mentioned here, he probably got access to a few BFZ cards by happenstance and then decided to pretend he had inner conections at WotC for attention seeking.
Jeez some of you people are complete sheep. This guy with a shaky at best track record posts something that turns out to be completely false and you still grasp at straws to figure out how it could possibly be somehow still correct. Just accept it. The guy is either a liar or has bad info. Either way, he can't be trusted.
Just play Force of Will, it's MTG but better and far cheaper
Funny story, according to one of my local game shop owners they stopped selling force of will due to the designers killing the game.
They had pods of players playing it all the time, but apparently they stopped coming since the recent releases that basically made force of will turn from a decently balanced game into yugioh with nothing but otk and massive, hasty creatures supported by free spells and 'artifacts'.
Thats what drove off the players, and as for the collectors, they started reprinting things like crazy and ended up killing the value of cards, along with the power creep, it was never a sure thing if it was worth buying certain cards anymore as they may become obsolete or worthless cause of the large quantity of the product.
Ugin is going to get really bad once all the fatties are colourless. I sold all mine. Sell sell sell!
He's going to be absolutely rotten. Hangarback walker has already nerfed him quite significantly. I reckon he'll be $3 junk within 2 months of rotation

A rumor is "Hey, I datamined some unused art from WotC's site. It has something that looks like new art for Mirror Entity. Maybe the spring set will be a return to Lorwyn." or "Someone posted a picture of this card, allegedly from the next set. Do you think it's real?"
Some of OO's are just lies "I got this from my official source. Here's the new Jace. It looks just like a custom card someone made."
People get rightfully annoyed when anyone makes something up for attention and then is found out to be wrong. Let alone if you actually used any rumor to make MTG finance decisions.
I currently play Force of Will, it's still fine and balanced, it's actually gotten better with some awesome new sets.
A OTK isnt something that happens, maybe your info is old
It really is MTG but better..and so much cheaper..so you can affordably brew decks. The power level on the cards are actually good to, so it's much easier to brew with then MTG, where 90% of the cards are trash(Wizards of the coast is terrible about creating a set with well balanced cards, they lost their touch years ago)

Honestly my biggest grief with OO is his aggressive attitude towards anyone that questions him, despite not having an entirely accurate record on spoilers. Attacking the entire community with blanket statements and the generally petty attitude if he's not treated like an Internet Rockstar is frankly enough for anyone to want to throw it back in his face. If you're going to attack people for being nonbelievers, at least be right about what they aren't believing.
Anyway, it never made sense that they would do any sort of new format for reasons I posted in the other thread. They're already pumping out as many products as they can a year now to try to support as many formats as possible. They're fighting an uphill battle against speculators and the secondary market to make Magic more accessible to more people. Expecting players to further diversify their money and making another format that shares any cards with others would have been a total farce.
This forum is called 'RUMOR mill" it is not called "Quickly post spoilers released by wizards". Even if this dude is getting his information through roaming the internet, it very well qualifies as a rumor.
The only people who want a non-legacy format are people who apparently don't have money to buy a top deck in Legacy? Let's be real, Modern decks dependant upon what you're playing are getting pretty close to the cost of Legacy decks, with some modern being more than legacy decks. The idea of Legacy being super expensive and modern being an accessible alternative just isn't really the case anymore. You can say that there isn't enough Dual land or other reserved list cards to go around, but there has never been a point in magics history when you couldn't go somewhere and buy the cards you needed for your deck. Also... feel free to play shocks or any other lands you want in legacy because their almost all legal.
And on a final note, for all the newbs here who love to say stuff is fake due to no pictures or it not being posted elsewhere first... this is how this very forum started. Here's some older posts so hat you all can get a taste of what this forum is all about.

Uh I've had an account since 2006 and read the forum since 2005 and I can tell you that back then leakers had track records and if random people just started posting stuff with no evidence they would not automatically be given credibility until they had established themselves. Most leaks were actually posted by moderators on behalf of sources they trusted, which you can see in those links you posted. Yes it's called the "rumor mill" but this forum has never been for randoms to just come post nonsense out of their arse. It's just a name, don't take it too literally. Back in 2006 entire sets tended to get leaked quite frequently. These days that doesn't happen very much, so it's more a place to aggregate and discuss breaking info about the game.
Surely even a complete idiot can see that if any old person was allowed to post "rumors" with no evidence or consequences that no one would be able to tell the difference between the good info and the bad and this forum would be absolutely useless as a source of information. Not to mention the trolls who would overrun this place with intentionally fake info.
People get rightfully annoyed when anyone makes something up for attention and then is found out to be wrong. Let alone if you actually used any rumor to make MTG finance decisions.
Grow a pair. I lost two buildings with the housing bubble burst of 07. Spending a couple dolars on shocklands because a dumbass in a forum said they were spiking soon is not a risky financial decision, it's an impulse buy on a childrens' card game.
Real life investments aren't safe. You don't have a right to your stuff appreciating every year just because, and nobody but you is responsible for buying too much, too little or underselling.
MtG "investors" need to get their little safe space ****ed up something fierce ASAP.

Yeah I have to agree. The entire concept of "MTG finance" is completely ludicrous. Magic has turned in to a speculative bubble and I can't wait for it to burst. I wish manchildren would stop treating this game (emphasis: GAME) like babby's first stock market and go do some actual investments if they want to play with money.

I can tell you as well, not all of them had track records, because I was here with a different name, crazy right?
Even if you argue they had track records, this person has spoiled legitimate stuff, so oddly enough he has a track record of being correct. ut then again, a complete idiot would be able to see that 4 corrects and 3 wrongs means someone is right more often then they're wrong.
Just as a side note. I'd suggest that if anyone really wants a newer format like say NO RL Legacy. Form up a group and play or check with your LGS to see if they would run an event. Don't wait around for Wizards. And if it catches on they will figure it out eventually and possibly support it. I'm sure there are groups already out there. Organize and have some fun.

Sorry to hear that about your friends. You could always try your LGS to see if they would offer a pilot session or something to that effect. I don't do Magic Online but there may be that option as well. I'll let any MTGO players respond to that one. If you really like the proposed format, don't give up on it.

I don't know if it's the same for others, but that sounds like the most unwieldy format ever. It's just Legacy with the most enormous banlist ever. I don't have encyclopedic knowledge of the Reserve List, and this proposed format would be a nightmare for me to try and brew with. Just my two cents.
