Might be a dumb question, but can you continually flip her back and forth on the same turn, or can you only use her once per turn regardless of what side she's on?
Damn, I'm so torn! I wanted her to be good, but at the same time I kind of didn't because I collect werewolves and if she's good getting a set is going to be near impossible for me, let alone two foil copies!!! I really like the card though! I guess I know what my goal is for this set.
front side is pretty good if you have a good blocker.... it makes such blocker to double as an attacker and that's nothing to sneeze at.
the +1 feels like a slightly worse Elspeth, Knight-Errant
the 0 puts a pretty nice token.
the back side +1 is very nice for aggro strategies, even if it takes the same time to activate as Garruk Wildspeaker's ultimate.
-1 is removal, and a very nice one, but also can't be used in the turn she comes into play.
ultimate is useless... she needs to survive a million years to be able to use it. at least 3 full turns activating + abilities + a turn transforming, if left unchecked, she'll activate the emblem in the fifth turn she's in play and that REALLY SLOW.
she's pretty weird, but certainly has good abilities overall.
but I think the abilities that transform her are exactly the ones I'd want to be using the most...
drop her, put a token, kill a dude, put another token, kill another dude and so on.
seems like the best case scenario with her in play tends to be generating 3 tokens and distributing 3 bolts before she dies... lol.
Yeah. Wolfmom kicks ass. It's going to be the first card in a long time that I get "just because" even if it is uncertain that I'll have a place for it right now.
The only problem with Honored Hierarch is making certain that it can hit your opponent. I suppose if you are on the play and you cast it turn 1 you are betting that your opponent won't also play a creature on their turn 1; of course, many of the typical turn 1 threats are going away soon--no more Monastery Swiftspear, Warden of the First Tree, etc. I like Honored Hierarch, though, and try to play it when I can.
Truthfully, I forgot about Oath of Nissa's other ability--I don't have any right now, a situation I will remedy at the earliest opportunity.
Weee, ANOTHER (R/G) planeswalker who makes your creatures better. We definitely needed one of those. Huraaaaaaaaaaaay.
Honestly though, how boring YET ANOTHER (R/G) creature boosting planeswalker is not-withstanding, this card is incredibly frustrating to me. When I first saw Nahiri was (R/W), I was ecstatic that we might get something along the lines of Ajani Vengeant (I wasn't playing when Vengeant came out so I never got a chance to grab a copy) because as a (R/W) player I like direct damage, and I REALLY like Lightning Helixes. But instead we got...whatever the heck Nahiri, The Harbinger is. Then they reveal this, and somehow a (R/G) planeswalker, with it's ability to turn itself into a lightning bolt and turn all my creatures into more beefy Prodigal Pyromancers, gives me a better (R/W) planeswalker than the card that actually has R and W in it's casting cost!
I just want them to release a PW that is super broke one day like JTMS level.
Yeah, if only there was a blue planeswalker worth $90 that sees play in every format. It could even have an iconic card as an ability like JTMS has [card]brainstorm[\card]. It's a shame they didn't print one in the last core set or anything...
I like her by default because I've been wanting this since 2011. Love her art, like her story, and I like that she seems playable. All in all I'm a super happy camper and will take 4. However, I was really hoping for a moonmist ability on her (even if that would make her card too niche to be playable)
I don't know how anyone can call a werewolf planeswalker that you can flip to either side anytime you want boring. Arlinn is a cool lady.
I like the variety and utility of her abilities. I especially like the old token flip, the lightning bolt flip, and her super mass ping ultimate(I LOVE effects like this).
Also, for everyone wanting a legendary Werewolf, there may be hope yet. I've seen several posts on MaRo's blog where he has said that a werewolf legend is something they've wanted to do for a long time. Plus, we still have lots of howlpacks and howlpacks leaders to make cards from. I'm hoping for Tovolar. Did you know that he never turns back into a human and he uses blood magic in Werewolf form?? A big silver Werewolf bloodmage? That *****'s crazy.

It constantly amazes me how much complaining awesome cards like this and Nahiri get. One person wanted an Ajani Vengeant clone because hey couldn't play with it when it first came out, another person complains about how similar Arlinn is to previous RG planeswalkers.
These women are objectively ballin', and anyone who thinks otherwise is kinda beyond redemption.
This is a card that I will never play (outside of opening one in limited). It's fine power wise; it's just not what I want to be doing, as is typically the case with RG planeswalkers.
