It's crazy how fast they will ban Cards from the Eldrazi decks in Modern even though they let Splinter Twin be annoying for years, especially since they haven't really given time for the format to adjust to the emergence of the Eldrazi decks. I'm not saying the cards shouldn't be banned, I just think it's unfair to be so quick on the draw.
I wasn't told which parts my thoughts are eye and mimic. Wizards relayed the info to my source.
So can you confirm us that's more than one card ?
He can confirm that a WotC employe said that something or things from Eldrazi deck will get the banhamer...
Didn't Aaron Forsythe literally say in the GP Detroit stream that they were looking into banning cards to bring Eldrazi into line without completely destroying the deck?
This literally is just a thread about something told to the entire public over four hours ago.

The diference is that against Splinter you could win going agroo or using removal/counter spell cause twin would start playing( try to combo on late game) and thus almost every deck had a chance at least when well played. Eldrazi win too quickly sometimes and happens to grind the games too often making the other deck play on the "try to survive" mode. Decks that do great against them are the ones that or have main deck anti eldrazi techs or are the ones that are more lethal against a deck with few removal spells.

Exacly this, also i think he reinforced that on Twiter.
Did Twin ever hit 20%+ of the meta? (Not saying it didn't, I've only been paying attention to modern for 6 months or so)
Never, neither any Eldrazi variant...
All the Eldrazi variants are sharing 20% of the meta, this is almost 6%+ to each of the 3 diferent styles variants ( Colorless, U X Eldrazi, G X Eldrazi ) ( There are also the B x Eldrazi variants, but that take less than 3% of the meta , all ).
But saying that all play 4 Eye, 4 Temple, etc... You could argument that they are the same deck i guess
If anything it would be Eye of Ugin to get banned. Eldrazi Temple does provide two mana, but you actually have to tap the land to add two mana for one spell. Eye's just giving away two mana to every eldrazi spell meaning you have the classic Turn 1 Eldrazi Mimic (or more) and 2/2 Endless One coming out. 4 mana (or more) used without tapping any lands. Plus Eye provides inevitability. You grind the game out and then the eldrazi player has enough mana to activate the eye and start searching out more threats for you to deal with. Ban the Eye then it's Turn 1, Temple, and tapping it for either the Mimic or a 2/2 Endless One. A painless Ancient Tomb (with no extra abilities) still isn't fair but it at least reaches a balance of letting Eldrazi stay around without them being so explosive.

Q = Interviewer, A = Aaron
Q: Eldrazi made huge foray, what's the defcon level?
A: At end of pro tour: about 3. Was eye opening, surprising, and something we kept an eye on considering on how few players played it but still got dominant results. As usual, we play out decision at the end
Q: Defcon level now at end of these GPs with all those high % of Eldrazi decks?
A: 1. We can't ignore it, it is ubiquitous, we definitely need to take some executive action
Q: what will be done to prepare for this?
A: There will be the announcement monday after SOI prerelease. Back at the office we had conversation about it since pro tour, there will be a meeting this week with all the data/results. I am here to get human input, and I got great input, people were level headed. I thought they were going to kill me *lol*, but people still love Modern and care about the format. The best thing for MTG are happy players, we will try to accomplish this.
Q: How do you go about next, what is the process?
A: We will not try to nuke Eldrazi from existence, I would like to see some Eldrazi deck in Modern. We'll test some paths to see what is possible, nothing's been decided. (THIS PART IMPORTANT TO ME:) The process does not involve testing. Return on investment is not great for us, so no testing. We stick to process, even with things like Eldrazi. (THIS STATEMENT WAS HILARIOUS:) The process has been working fine up until this point, and we hope it will be working fine after this point.

Totally agree, though I thought it seemed kind of troubling that shuffling playsets of all the new Eldrazi rares together is modern playable
I'm not sure how this will end up but I would like to see Temple not banned. I think it would be okey if they ban Eye and Mimic. But of course I haven't tested anything and I'm totally biased because I love Eldrazi so... Time will tell

It is kind of Crazy. I think it was just the perfect influx of Eldrazi, and then with the placement of Eye of Ugin and Temple, the stars aligned. Modern hasn't seen a deck from scratch like that in awhile.
Well, glad they are taking action against eldrazi. Not great they are doing it completely blind with a data sheet in front of them. So, who wants to take bets it's going to be Eye and either mimic or TKS? I'm betting Mimic, but we'll have to wait and see. I hope they don't hit TKS because that guy is no where near as offending.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
Recently announced via my source. That parts of the eldrazi modern deck will be receiving a ban in April. Straight from wizards. Enjoy.
The only thing this guy has gotten right for the last three "leaks" is stuff that any Magic player could have guessed. Can we just lock this until we get the real announcement.
if you knew which cards...then it would be interesting but also insider trading.

Reality is only what man allows it to be. Few shape it so that many may accept it.
