Not a bad card, but I am very skeptical about this cards constructed applications. I really dont think it will get there, even though it is very versatile given the range of planeswalker abilities it gives you access to. The problem is, adding three mana to the cost of said walker is a lot...cool card though.

The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost. The true heart can tough the poison of hatred without being harmed. Since beginning-less time, darkness thrives in the void but always yields to purifying light.
I invision a future where one is not mighty when he can silence a crowd with brutality,
but when he leaves them speechless with wisdom.
I would have loved something more special for a planeswalking tutor. In the line of Sorcery - XWW - Search your library for a planeswalker with converted mana cost X and put it onto the battlefield. Then put a loyalty counter on it for each color of mana spent to cast ~. That would have been mythic worthy.
This card is fine at uncommon for limited. In a 30 man pre-release there may be one person at that event that will have this card and a planeswalker in their sealed pool. The odds are not very good for the two to be in the same sealed pool. This card is rare because it feels rare. The flavor is rare and thats fine. White has always had tutors. White tutors for enchantments and has tutored for equipment before so this is not out of whites color pie. All colors have tutors. I even expect there to be a colorless tutor in this set.
Momir Vig, Simic Visionary

Gisela, Blade of Goldnight
Rhys the Redeemed
Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord
Sen Triplets
The Mimeoplasm WUBRGSliver OverlordGRBUW WUBRGSliver Hivelord(Superfriends)GRBUW
I can almost guarantee I'll be opening this a lot in my pre-release sealed pools. With no walker of course.
Well, even with a walker, would you want to play this? What if you have this in your opening hand along with your walker? Or your only walker on the field then you topdeck this?
Sarkhan's Triumph was an uncommon so much more frequent, I never saw it played for the same reasons. I think this card is clearly more oriented to constructed variants than limited play.
The other colors have always been able to tutor for specific cards. Black is the color that can tutor for anything.
Was just thinking that since PW's appear in roughly equal #'s across all five colors, and this being the set it is, AAAAAAAAND considering the utterly absurd flavor implications, they should have included <> in its casting cost. Le sigh..
Yup, time to add white to my Standard deck. Flashing this back with Actual Literal Baby Jace is what I want to be doing in Standard right meow.

Definitely seems strong in EDH but the perspective on the art seems off. Either Nissa is really tall or Chandra is really short.

I LOVE this card! A tutor for Planeswalkers in the color I play in EDH! Sad it can't search my Jace, Vryn's Prodigy but still, amazing card!
The art is interesting, but I wish they had used the promo OGW art of the four standing and literally casting an oath. Like Jace in my avatar. That art feels more universal as we actually see more of the Planeswalkers.
Oh well this is auto-include in EDH and most constructed decks. Very excited about this!
When the Eldrazi run rampant on your plane, who you're gonna call?
Good thing the closest EDH deck I have to a Superfriends one is WU, so it fits in perfectly - the synergy with Narset Transcendent's minus ability is great.

Why in the underworld would C be in its casting cost? We're talking about calling the team that is meant to STOP the eldrazi, not join it!

<> is specifically tied to the Eldrazi. It makes no flavor sense for the gatewatch, or planeswalkers in general, to be tied to it.
More generally, there is no reason whatsoever to have something that appears in all 5 colors (PWs) have a tutor that has a requirement not in any of the five. Again, people, <> should never be used in a cost to designate something that all five colors can do.
Why is this card white? Is this a new addition to white's slice of the color pie. Are the any relevant card comparisons? I've only been playing for 3 years now so any insight would be greatly appreciated.
There's not been a planeswalker specific tutor. White has historically had tutors for artifacts and/or enchantments and equipment.
White lost a lot of it's color pie to other colors, so it's been needing something for a while. Though I think planeswalker tutors is not what its been looking for.

Looks like Chandra and Gideon is just standing a bit ahead of Nissa and Jace
Cutting green takes away Doubling Season and some of the deck's best defensive walkers in Garruk, Primal Hunter, and Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury. It also takes away Ajani, Mentor of Heroes, who does a damn good job at finding other walkers.
