I'm going for singles this year tbh. I mean, some great cards, but not as a whole for an entire deck. Lack of Tragic Poet in the Daxos deck cannot be forgiven.
Why does Terastodon have to be reprinted at every turn??
What are you talking about? It's been reprinted only twice before: for the Graveborn premium deck and for Conspiracy.
This will be it's 5th reprinting. It was a promo in those triple packs in Wal-Mart and Targets, Conspiracy, Commander 2014, and Graveborn. Then there is this printing. It is incredibly over printed in a land of "How did they forget X and yet gave Y a Nth printing."

It was also in last year's green precon deck. And it was a Walmart promo but that's not important. It's a good card, I don't mind it getting reprinted, but if Wizards says they're going to put in only a set amount of rares in each deck, I'm not excited to see this card burning up one of the rare slots when there are plenty of other good rares that desperately need a reprint.
Also what does Wizards have against Idyllic Tutor? They've had several good opportunities to reprint that card now and they skipped it every time. And they screwed us on Vindicate again. ;(
At this point Wizards is going to just need to do a Commander Masters set because obviously they have a list of Commander staples and desired Commander reprints that they flat out refuse to reprint in these decks for some reason. Don't know what they're holding out for, honestly, because most of them don't have any other outlet for being reprinted other than these decks.
Aw shut up, the reprints are nice for us who are so bored to buy singles and don't play competitively. I'm gonna buy all five of them. Also, kudos for High Market.
SonofaBith - Wizards was so excited about making the packaging for Modern Masters 2 recyclable, they decided to make most of the rares and all but 1 of the UC's recycle-bin ready too. Convenient!
After looking at these decklists, I felt underdressed, because I thought it was casual Friday but these decks say Tuesday Morning. Holy shelfwarmers, Batman! Wizards has compensated for Mind Seize being too desirable by making none of the decks desirable. I can't wait to pay $30+ tax for an eight-dollar Phyrexian Arena and lots of chaff. Woof!

Why in holy hell did they reprint both Ancient Craving and Ambition's Cost, at different rarities, I might add. Like... it makes no sense?
Because the reprints keep the rarity of their previous printings, and the rarity given for reprints in these decks is totally meaningless anyway? Having access to both cards is great, any time you can get redundancy in a singleton format is worthwhile.

Not the greatest value wise in terms of reprints but some great new cards and I want to see how the decks perform against eachother before making up my mind.
Considering we know WotC has said we'll be getting more reprints going forward it isn't unexpected that these precons are a bit on the light side. However they really aren't that bad either: I am very happy that three of the decks have Lightning Greaves for example.
I am still rather happy I got all 5 for under 200$.
EDIT: so everybody seemed generally happy with the spoilers and now that we have the decklists the typical "waaaaah, I'm not getting 60$ of cards for my 35$" mtgs bullcrap. Entitlement central, we ha e arrived!
No new artwork for old cards would be a legitimate let down, the MSRP increased (marginally) so to get no new art work is lame.
Oh, I didn't realize none had any new artwork. Figured they're not in Gatherer yet so the lists used default old images. That would be very lame if true. It's already lame enough that so few old border cards were reprinted. I mean this is something simple that could be done in place of getting the same pool of cards again and again.
As someone pointed out earlier, no Plea For Guidance and no Idyllic Tutor in Daxos (or in any CMD products) is odd as well.
Also what does Wizards have against Idyllic Tutor? They've had several good opportunities to reprint that card now and they skipped it every time.
I'm still convinced that Plea for Guidance was originally going to be Idyllic Tutor (the dove!) and it got scrapped on development.
Wouldn't surprise me in the least. Just like how they obviously cut Daybreak Coronet from Theros at the last minute. I think Wizards is afraid of good tutor spells. They probably thought Idyllic Tutor would make some totally broken deck by being able to tutor for god cards. I was absolutely convinced it would be in M15 because of Theros being enchantment themed. Then I was convinced it would be in BNG or Journey to Nyx because...enchantment theme. Then I was convinced it would be in Origins as a last hurrah to Theros, that way if it did prove too powerful Theros wouldn't be around for too long. I even hoped it would be in MM2 along with Crucible of Worlds as that set's Doubling Season equivalent. But nope. Wizards wants me to forever kick myself for not picking up a set of Idyllic Tutor for $3 a piece like I had planned to when it was Standard legal.
Mind I ask, what makes Mind Seize deck so desirable? I know there's True-Name Nemesis, but what else?
At the time that was enough. One could hit the Box Box stores on Sat AM, scoop up the Mind Seize decks, strip out the True-Name Nemesis, eBay that for more than you paid for the deck, and keep the other 99 cards one of which was a Baleful Strix which at the time was over $10.
Given that these decks are intended as an intro deck to the format...I think there is some good solid value with totally playable cards at all rarities. The mana bases are the same as they always are. They aren't going to reprint insane value in this type of product and adding a super land base would get you there in no time. And really with Reliquary Tower, Command Tower, and High Market they actually did put a little value here. Two color decks don't normally need huge fixing anyway.
Overall take..decent value, they look enjoyably playable, and there are some fun new things to play with. I'll be getting the blue and green decks for these basic reasons.
EDIT: so everybody seemed generally happy with the spoilers and now that we have the decklists the typical "waaaaah, I'm not getting 60$ of cards for my 35$" mtgs bullcrap. Entitlement central, we ha e arrived!
More like I'm not getting $35 worth of singles for my $35, probably not even $25. There's absolutely no entitlement here, just capitalism at work. I see a product that doesn't live up to expectations and I'm not buying it.
