The primary target isn't impressed by dual lands, they want big creatures and big spells. Fetch lands would be a big fail for the product and would drive value of the existing copies down very quickly. While hey should be reprinted it shouldn't happen in this product.
Now hold on a minute. I'm the target audience and I am very much excited by lands that efficiently give me access to my colors. In fact, 85% of people I know would be excited by good lands for their commander decks. IMO It would be quite the opposite of a "big fail", and would certainly not drive the value down, but rather increase the value if people want these efficient lands in their decks (which, if we're still talking about fetches, they do).

They have said time and time again that most players don't care for the lands. I know quite a few play groups that don't care about them as they are table top casual. The table tops make up most of the market.
As much as it pains me to say this, WHEW. As has been said many times, putting fetches in these sort of defeats the "Baby's First EDH Deck" purpose of these, because the demand from Spikes (and now #mtgfinance) would make them impossible to find.
Only pristine, sealed ones. There would be a glut of $10 copies sold in clear boxes with the fetchland removed, which is honestly a better deal for a casual. I don't think the fetches will be in Commander though.
Who the hell cares. I want to see if there are going to be sea monsters and cool Theros warrior and god things in here. And a Tragic Poet reprint. Give me what I want already. I want a Thassa themed card too. Sick of waiting. One more day. Ugh.

Why do people continue to assume that? If they print up to demand, and the demand is high, then the more likely effect is that enemy fetches would fall to 8-12 $ a piece, which doesn't sound too unreasonable to me.
He means if they put Fetches into the Commander product, it would be almost impossible to find the decks on shelves to buy.
Exactly. Yes, eventually supply will catch up, and yes eventually fetchland prices might come down, but the decks themselves would become a BFZ fat pack situation during the initial print run. Thanks to True-Name Nemesis, Mind Seize was impossible to find until Wizards started shipping 2x per box of five C13 decks, which was months later during the second print run.

I agree. I'd love to have better mana bases for all my EDH decks (I have like 15), but don't really like paying over $10 for cards (exceptions included, of course), but only do it for my top 3-5 decks because I just can't justify spending so much. But I would buy fetches if they were in the $10-15 range (in fact I did pick some Khans fetches up when they were in this range). The only people that don't like fetches are newer players, simply because they often don't understand how important mana base consistency is, especially when you're running a two-color, heavy cc deck or three colors+.
It's times like this that make me miss the days when the mothership updated at midnight EST instead of who-knows-when during the day. The anticipation is killing me!

EDH: WUBRG Chromanticore/Karona, False God (Allies/Maze's End) - WB Teysa, Orzhov Scion (Stax) - GW Karametra, God of Harvests (Landfall & Goodstuff) - W Kytheon, Hero of Akros (Aggro Voltron)
I wonder how they'll roll out the spoilers. One deck a day for each day this week, or do they have a slower schedule and plan to let the cards trickle out over the next two weeks?
I NEED a BW general that focus on life gain and life drain so badly. Don't get me hyped for nothing Wizards.
Aren't Ghost Council of Orzhova and Obzedat, Ghost Council enough for the very same strategy? The first one is also a good starting point for some nonsense combos... I really don't see any need for other Commanders with the same features.
They're lame in my opinion. Ghost Council of Orzhova requires you to build a deck based around sacrificing creatures. If you're going to do that in BW, might as well use Teysa. Obzedat only targets a single player once a turn for a measly 2 life. I'd like a Commander that does something like "whenever you gain life, each opponent loses 1 life" or "whenever an opponent loses life, you gain that much life".
"new friend" ugh. I just want a cleric/rebel bw general - don't really need blinky life-gain shenanigans.
I'm actually kinda surprised that someone else, other then me, wants a Legend to support those two tribal archetypes. Every time I've brought up the topic of B/W Cleric Tribal I get one of two responses. Use Athreos, God of Passage or use Lady Evangela. It would be nice to build a strictly B/W deck with an appropriate Legendary. Maybe it's even a Legendary Rebel Cleric.

Agree that those two are very lame as far as life gain or life loss go, but I hope they are not making another two card combo general, so I would vote against both of your suggestions.
i currently use Obzedat as my cleric commander - just feels out of place. Though there is some life gain in the deck, there's a lot of times I'd just as soon not cast him in the game. I'd rather just put the council in my Oloro deck and have someone else run the b/w deck.

I'm so glad these are fake.
I don't feel like scrambling to come up with the money to buy 4 of each deck
Last time I asked this about these decks...a mod gave me a spam warning
I'm pretty hyped for these decks. Wizards has yet to disappoint me with these commander decks they've made.
