Please guys, there's already a lot of speculation going on in other threads, let's keep this thread to already known information.
To be fair, there's really nothing to do BUT speculate until official spoilers start. We only have two cards, one of which already has a thread of it's own and the other is a nice reprint, but nothing that hasn't been reprinted multiple times already and we don't even know which deck it's in. So there's not really anything to discuss yet...

What would be the point of having this thread open in the first place, then? Perhaps it was created prematurely? Why not have it stickied and locked until the official spoilers start rolling in and there is actually something new to discuss? There's already a thread for both the Boros General and Eternal Witness, which are the only two cards that can be discussed in this thread, so why not use one of those threads to discuss those cards instead? If there's nothing to talk about and people aren't allowed to speculate, wish or discuss anything other than Eternal Witness or Kalemne (again, both of which already have their own threads), then I don't really see a reason to have this thread open yet.

Given the overwhelming tide of "Oh no I've been trolled by a Mod!" that started the thread, I am a little bit surprised at the threads persistence in an unlocked state as well. Who watches the watchmen?

I'm betting it is unlocked because in about 3 days we are going to be getting info and this will just have to be unlocked anyways. No harm done with it being opened it seems.
There are no new commons and thus new mana fixing of any kind is highly unlikely.
Storage Lands and Talismans are Uncommon.
Not in commander they aren't. New cards in one deck (which would include storage lands and talismans) are rare, and unlikely to be wasted on mana producers. New cards in 2-3 decks are uncommon but couldn't have more then one color of mana symbol on them. Can't do any of the requested cycles here though diamonds that etb untapped would be possible. New cards in all five decks are common (command tower), non of these this year.
some of those (rustic study) need to be banned not re-printed, others are way too expensive for commander decks (the bad judge Vindicate is $30) and I doubt narrow combo pieces (darkest hour) will be included in commander. That said several of those would be fantastic includes and are quite reasonable.

I thought that was the point of this thread, to boost the thread view count of the mod who started it (early) and troll everyone.

The point of the thread was to have it ready for when more spoilers would follow. We didn't know if more spoils would follow trinkling in, couldn't expect that WOTC would keep the lid this tightly shut. And maybe to discuss the already spoiled cards. There are threads open in Speculation for, well, speculation.

Rhystic Study is *not* going to be banned. If they can print Sol Ring in every Commander Deck ever, they can print RS here.
And Vindicate being a $30(/$90) Judge Foil is of no consequence-
the original printing is as cheap as it's been in years.
It's worth less than Wurmcoil Engine was a year ago,
so it's not an unreasonable request at all.

And this answers absolutely nothing. Which brings us back to the question of "why was this thread made?"
Should I start up the thread for Oath of the Gatewatch spoilers now? I mean, it's coming out "soon" and we know spoilers will come eventually.
A little consistency in the rulings of mods would be nice...hell; unprecedented on this site.
I know RS isn't going to be banned, I just wish it would be as the card is a terrible card in multiplayer (doubly so in Star and similar formats). Vindicate being a judge promo is relevant to it being reprinted, it not being included in Sorin's duel deck is also relevant.

FWIW I agree with this suggestion. Hell, I don't even know if I'd leave the thread open after the decklists get spoiled, since I'm sure that discussion about them will take place in their own individual threads. As it is, this could be a neat reference sheet about the cards going in the decks though. I definitely like the idea of this thread.
The filter lands would be nice as well. I think their price is more so because they've been out of print for so long.

As much as it pains me to say this, WHEW. As has been said many times, putting fetches in these sort of defeats the "Baby's First EDH Deck" purpose of these, because the demand from Spikes (and now #mtgfinance) would make them impossible to find.

Why do people continue to assume that? If they print up to demand, and the demand is high, then the more likely effect is that enemy fetches would fall to 8-12 $ a piece, which doesn't sound too unreasonable to me.
He means if they put Fetches into the Commander product, it would be almost impossible to find the decks on shelves to buy.

That would only be true if the demand for the non-fetchland portion of the decks was equally as high. If dealers/speculators are buying the decks for ~$35 and only getting a return of $10 on the fetchland, then that means they can also sell the other 99 cards for <$25. If demand for the other 99 cards is very low due to flooding the market with several print runs, then the price of the fetchland would creep back up as it made up a greater and greater percentage of the value of that $35 packaging.
The primary target isn't impressed by dual lands, they want big creatures and big spells. Fetch lands would be a big fail for the product and would drive value of the existing copies down very quickly. While hey should be reprinted it shouldn't happen in this product.

- If made into a cycle, there would be tons of Verges. BRU/BWU could play three of them, which would be huge ramp for non-green.
3/100 cards isn't really that big of a deal...
Besides, it's not like Green isn't already the best color in the format or anything.
I do not understand this statement at all. Are you saying that cards do not make a difference in a deck? I think they do.
I feel like non-green Krosan Verge would be a bit of a color pie breaker.
