What, you don't want to wade through pages of people arguing about which commanders are good for "good stuff" decks? That's so relevant and helpful when trying to figure out what cards are going to be in the new decks....
Bouncing in here from the other thread to point out that the three copies in the picture above are in German, Italian and S-Chinese, respectively...
... all languages that Comm2015 is confirmed to be printed in by WotC (so you can rule out "not printed in this language" fakes).

I can never have enough Witnesseseses. Every once in a while when i'm at a GP i buy 1 or 2 more and i play EDH since 10 years (ok, first it was only 60card-highlander decks) and i still never have enough of those damn buggers. They're like socks in the washing mashine!
If people are sick of reading about stuff just stop taking part. You have 100% control over what you read. Simic Ascendancy isn't going to get banned just because you didn't tell someone to shut up on the internet.
I'm glad this is likely getting a reprint. Did not want to pay $6 for another witness.
This reprint will probably make no diff whatsoever there. E. Witness has probably seen more reprints than any other card in Modern. It's basically always gonna be a '$5-8ish' card.

I don't think that's the point, I think they mean so they can pick one up incidentally when buying the commander decks they already would be buying.

Melira Pod doesn't exist any more and Elves isn't really playing her either, last time I checked.
It's a valuable card because it's played in some Collected Company decks (like abzan company, bant company, etc.).
Oh yes, true... like probably not since... er... Birthing Pod got banned in Modern? Derp.
Anyway, case in point here is that Eternal Witness goes in a lot of decks very neatly (hence its intrinsic value).
It think her price tag comes mostly from EDH. She's in almost every green deck out there, isn't she? She's good on her own as a Nature's Spiral with a chump blocker attached, and fantastic with Tooth and Nail and Defense of the Heart, great with blink effects, combines with Entomb for a Demonic Tutor effect... what's not to love?
