Landfall - Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, you may return target nonland permanent card from your graveyard to your hand. If that land is a Plains, you may return that nonland permanent to the battlefield instead.

Is...is one of these actually good? Or has a good effect, at least - the CMC is more than a bit high. Still, cool card. Not sure that the "base" ability is White (I can only remember seeing it in Green and Black), but the "upgraded" ability is definitely White, so it works.

Repeatable Obzedat's Aid is pretty cool, I must say. Still pricey as hell, but as least you're getting an effect relative to the cost this time. I feel like there might be a random combo here.

Probably a bit expensive for standard play but I can't wait to try this out in EDH and would love to open it in sealed (or maybe even draft if the format is slow enough).
Returning non land permanents to hand or play is a powerful ability especially when combined with lands that fetch other lands. Something like play this, play Ghost Quarter, sacrifice GQ targetting your own Ruins of Trokair fetching 2 plains returning 1 non land permanent to hand and 2 to play would make for a huge swing in position and if you really wanted to up the stakes then returning permanents like Solemn Simulacrum to fetch more plains would be particularly strong.
Keep in mind this card can potentially be better Reya Dawnbringer its easily abuseable with Ruin Ghost in white. It costs 7 likely as a reference to Emeria itself (Required 7 plains to trigger each turn). Still a fun card.
Here I thought Brago EDH would never really get any upgrades, but in Origins I got Whirler Rogue, and now I get this to go over the top with Parallax Tide. Might not make it to the final cut, but I'm certainly gunna try it out!
Even just two Plains is enough to pull every nonland permanent in your graveyard onto the battlefield, since one of the triggers can recur Parallax Tide to start the cycle over again. That's...silly. I love it.
EDIT: Whoops, so I didn't actually know how Fading works, apparently. It goes infinite if you have a way to repeatedly sac the Tide for free, not just with the two cards by themselves.
It may be niche, but I love it. EDH angel that`s half build-around yet still not useless if you don`t have the right enablers? Sign me up. I was hoping for something like this, but I expected it at mythic, so I`d given up hope. This just means that it will be cheaper. If I would want anything more, it would be a bigger body, it could easily have been 5/5 or even 5/6. Looks great with the green Blighted land too. I definitely got some new toys from this set, not complaining.

Slightly better stats (5/5) would have been much more preferable imo. As it is, it will just eat Exquisite Firecraft/any other removal, even if you wait till T8 (or earlier because ramp) and immediately drop a plains.
It should be noted that with one already in the graveyard you can recur it with a second copy in play, not likely to happen in constructed, or even in limited because rare, but still.

Add in a Claws of Gix and its infinite mana and a recurring loop of 1 permanent per plains.
Kitchen table combos aside, the manacost is prohibitive, but that can be solved by cheating it into play. In legacy you could careful study T1 off Underground Sea, pitching angel and Omniscience. T2 reanimate, play a Tundra, return Omniscence go nuts. And that's just a random example off the top of my head. There are *lots* of ways to cheat a creature in. After that, you can use her to cheat your enchantment, your artifact, or even your planeswalker in.
Pretty sure everyone talking about combos here missed the big part about the non-plains cards just going to hand. Ehhh, it MIGHT see EDH play, pretty good in limited though.

with a sac outlet this goes infinite. Same thing with Realm Razer, Petradon, and too a lesser extent Wormfang Newt, Wormfang Turtle, and Petravark. A lot of other cards go semi-infiinite too.
