Hey, it would be totally abuseable in Standard if not for that exile clause. CMC of 6 isn't bad for an extra turn. And CMC of 9 for a game-ending effect is very good.
Heck, if I had nine mana open, I wouldn't cast this for its Awaken cost. I would cast this, then follow it up with a Day's Undoing. Pure. Value.
I feel underwhelmed by this. Like, the amount of whelming is less than I'd hoped for.
Has a Wave of Whelming struck you? You should probably get kraken then. Gotta get back in the game.
In all seriousness, the card seems fine. I'm not one for constructed formats, but extra turn cards aren't especially viable unless they're Time Walk or Temporal Mastery.
Who knows though? Getting a 6/6 and getting to attack with it is probably worth something.
Getting reeeeal sick of seeing that exile clause on these time spells. It's one thing for Temporal Mastery and Temporal Trespass, where those cards can be cast for 2-3 mana, but without extra help, PtW is at least SIX! Even with Awaken, is getting a 6/6 stapled to a Time Warp really that busted for nine mana?
Edit: Forgot Narset was still a thing. Still, I feel like this is just how it's gonna be from now on, and while sometimes it makes sense, here it's kind of eh.

Okay, I've held back for a while but I just can't stay silent when they keep making cards like this. I get it; it's powerful regardless of the mana cost, but this is beyond design stagnancy. This is design putrescence. You all know they spent 5 seconds making this card. Just go through the list of powerful spells we've seen before, add awaken and 1 mana AND BAM! NEW CARD!!!!!!!! I find this card gross. Any format that can play time warp will just play that anyway, so this card doesn't even do anything... like at all... anywhere. Blizzard already sold boxes with just the expedition thing, so everything else is just a toss in, I guess. Drana is nice...

Maybe playable as a fun-of? For six mana it's at least an Explore that untaps your mana (which admittedly isn't much of an effect for six, but it's not terrible), but with ten or more available mana, it's a haymaker.
Notably, if this is at all usable with Awaken with any amount of regularity, it's probably the best Awaken spell to be pointed at manlands. Tap nine of your ten mana, put six counters on your Shambling Vent, then on your next turn, feel free to activate and swing for 8 with lifelink and plenty of mana to spare.

A 6/6 in blue usually doesn't cost 3U. It's a fair addition.
While this isn't a Standard concern, I will say for EDH exile is pretty much always required. Having played Sheoldred into Eternal Witness into Time Warp for an infinite loop on several occasions (or bouncing Mnemonic Wall for the same effect) I can say it really doesn't matter how expensive the spell is... it's pretty much a win.
Awaken 6 goes hard. If this resolves, you'll be hitting for 12 before your opponent can do a single thing about it. If a mega-ramp deck emerges that's playing blue, I would not be at all surprised to see this get there.
Finally, a BFZ target for Living Lore. I wonder if it can cast things for Awaken costs; I doubt it though.
Ruling:
If you cast a card “without paying its mana cost,” you can’t pay alternative costs. You can pay additional costs. If the card has mandatory additional costs, you must pay those.

It would work out great it the spell didn't exile itself. I'm not quite sure what you're referring to.
If Part the Waterveil is in the graveyard, can Living Lore not use it? The second part of my post was referring to Awaken costs and how they interact with Living Lore, but I'm pretty sure they don't interact at all.

Take an extra turn after this one. Exile Part the Waterveil.

Reality is only what man allows it to be. Few shape it so that many may accept it.

lol you point to narset instead of den protector or greenwarden of murasa?
Seems very meh. Budget EDH card. If I was playing standard I would just play Ob Nixilis or Ugin instead.
