scalding tarn looks gorgeous. And I really hope that the white box is just in the previews and actually like gameday art on real cards, but I know that's just fantasy
Confirmed 1 in 200 packs will have one. It remains unclear if each one is 1/200 (4 per box) or if all 25 are 1 in 200 (1.08 per case), though 1.08 per case seems much more likely.

Good lord, that Bloodstained Mire. There's not many of these I'd keep if I pulled them, rather than trade them in to get multiple non-Expeditions copies, but that's at the top of the list. So pretty. And unlike the Polluted Delta or the Scalding Tarn, the best parts of the art probably won't be obscured by the textbox, so it should be similarly impressive on the card itself.

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.

The art for Overgrown Tomb makes zero sense. There is no tomb and nothing is overgrown. At least Sacred Foundry and Hallowed Fountain could be seen as abstractions.

For the most part, these seem very last minute to me. A few of them are well done, but all the veronique pieces look like overgrown sketchbook doodles--accomplished in a few days as digital renderings.
The frames and textbooks sort of affirm my point of view--last minute hype idea.
