I'm not a fan of fertile thicket. It's the worst of the lot in top deck mode. Mortuary mire seems like the best to me. Being able to replay a bomb in limited is game winning. The other 4 seem like varying degrees of niche. The red land probably functions as "deal 1 damage to target player" which is fine but not crazy. Skyline cascade seems like its the most niche and is only truly good when you and your opponent are racing eachother. The white land also functions as "deal 1 damage to player" but potentially acts to preserve your life total as well, meaning its probably better than the red land. The green land is great in the first few turns, then falls off to become a strictly worse forest. Then again, I may be underestimating how impact-fall the ability to guarantee a late game land fall trigger is.

Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.

They are all pretty sweet, a nice addition to the original cycle. Here's to hoping we see a functional reprint of Knight of the Reliquary to really abuse them.
Edit: Also the art on all five is pretty nice. All the lands in this set are beautiful so far.
Mortuary Mire is sweet. Nice bit of utility with Sylvan Scrying. Sandstone Bridge is quite solid, as well. Think I'd want to play all of these except for maybe the U and G lands.

What a fantastic cycle. White and Red put Turntimber Grove to shame. Blue is capable of making some huge tempo swings when applied correctly. Black is super playable as a one-shot Volrath's Stronghold. And Green gets unique and interesting protection against mana screw. I can't wait to play with every single one of these.

Later in the game, the ETBT clause becomes less and less relevant, and it's two lands in one for any landfall effects. If you need to rip an untapped land THAT TURN, then yes, it's worse, in most other cases it's better, and early in the game it is by far the best of the lot.
So with a monogreen deck -- a hypothetical monogreen deck because I don't know if there's enough juice for one, but anyway -- if you ran just basic Forests and Fertile Thickets, how many lands could you get away with? Would 19 be enough for Deathmist Aggro? How reliably could you include another color?
Damn. The white one is good, but unplayable in my deck. And that's the last of the lands, and the wrath effect is bad too, so I don't have much left to look forward to from this set. A resounding meh.
It and the red one just seem terribly boring compared to the other three as well...
They look pretty good.
Begin incessant whining about how these aren't fetchable or something.
These are all pretty nice.
