Cuz he looks damn amazing, is 5 with haste for 4, can "dash" when controlled right or stick when prefered otherwise. I just wish it had ingest as he is not a drone.
I recently was prompted to start thinking about an Eye of Ugin aggro deck, since it actually works on baby Eldrazi now, and then this shows up. Fantastic.
EDIT: I also believe this may be the first Emrakulian Eldrazi we've seen so far. It looks like they changed their design a little to have more bony latticework than the fleshy versions in rise.

Check out the thread for my cube if you have the time, and tell me how terrible it is.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
Even outside of Aggro decks Hasty 5/3 that doesn't stick around for sorcery speed removal is nice. It's also Pitless Horde Number 2 in Dash Mode... I can see this coming in and crashing into a Rhino happily. Or swinging past a Rhino and going for the dome. Eldrazi Aggro is coming together nicely. They have plenty of haste to go around and this enables Titan's Presence if you want some removal in the sideboard.

Even with Eye of Ugin he still requires RB. so Turn 3 at the earliest.
Didn't we just get Dash last block? Pitiless Horde and Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury and sprinting warbrute and all their other friends mean this card is pretty redundant, its fitting a niche and cmc slot thats already very crowded for those colors.
Imagine if, one month ago, someone had told you that an Eldrazi rare in BFZ ... a goddamned ELDRAZI RARE ... would be Viashino Cutthroat. What a flavor fail this is. They would have been better off just redoing the Eldrazi as they were in Zendikar, but with different stats. These cards are just all over the place, or rather, nowhere over the place.
Man, Ultimate Price is going to be so bad in this format. No wonder they didn't mind printing a 2 mana kill spell in DTK.
Standard Top 16 - SCG Open Worecester (09/13/2015)
3 deck of top4 play it maindeck.
Man, i don't know what's your problem but you can stop trolling me...Instead if you are wizard employeer and you know what will be next metagame, please enlight us all
Bringing up a previous metagame in a conversation about a new one? Especially one with a large influx of non-mono colored creatures? Ultimate price is by definition bad against eldrazi. What was even your point here?

I'm pretty sure you want to play this with colorless creatures around...
Great art. Unless you really need colorless for some reason, Pitiless Horde is better.
The other way to look at it is that it is another 4 pitiless hordes in a deck which moght get past the threshold for an aggro deck to be good enough for serious standard action

RotE designers had the same problem of needing enough eldrazi to be the center of the block, but couldn't just print nothing but 8/8 juggernauts, so they came up with the whole brood idea, making a clear thematic divide between the large colorless titans and their smaller drones. These, like you say, are all over the place, and you could have told me they were slivers 3.0 and I wouldn't have known the difference

I like him. Not sure why, but I do.

And the card feels like some mediocre Dash leftover from DTK
