Sanctum of Ugin Land (Rare)
T: Add 1 to your mana pool.
Whenever you cast a colorless spell with converted mana cost 7 or greater, you may sacrifice Sanctum of Ugin. If you do, search your library for a colorless creature card, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle your library.
So They really want you to build mostly colorless at some point... Cast Ugin search up Ulamog... I just think we need a Colorless Draw Spell and Mono-Blue Colorless Control can be a deck... Islands + Colorless Lands for Eldrazi and and Haven of the Spirit Dragon to recur Ugins... Deck won't be great but it'll be funny to use. Also this card is great in every Commander deck that wants to run big Colorless spells lol which is any deck you want to put them in lol
Seems pretty good for EDH decks like Kozilek, who now has the power to go grab Ulamog from the deck when they case their general and then play the Ulamog next turn.

When would this be useful outside of colorless EDH? This feels like it couldn't possibly be any more winmore. And you have to sac the land to get a creature, setting your manabase back a turn. First they power down the Eldrazi Temple, then they give us this instead of Eye of Ugin?

yeah.... and the downgrades season goes on.
bad eldrazi temple? check....
bad Eye of Ugin? check.... badVinelasher Kudzu? check... badSteppe Lynx? check... badBloodghast? Ok... I'm stretching it and Despoiler of Souls is a closer call, but... check. badPlated Geopede? Also stretching and this may not be even that bad... still, check.
It is indeed a bad 'eye of ugin', but perfectly fine with current set instead of reprinting 'eye of ugin'.
Eye of ugin's "Colorless Eldrazi spells you cast cost {2} less to cast" can be abused with cheap colorless/devoid eldrazi creature in BFZ, that's not good for standard.

Because no one's ever lost after resolving an Ugin. (Hero's downfall is leaving the format though so I'd put good money on Ugin becoming a lot more dominant since it's really hard to deal with something that sweeps every threat to it off the board when it drops.)
Getting a threat to cast next turn to follow up your big bomb is incredibly relevant with all the removal floating around. It keeps up the pressure and forces your opponent to have more answers or fold. It's also a land, so the only real opportunity cost comes from the cost of the threats it can fetch, and since it's a tutor you don't need more than one or two of those.

Holy *****, is Eye of Ugin Zoo gonna be a thing in modern? Because I want to build that deck. I never thought about that.

Check out the thread for my cube if you have the time, and tell me how terrible it is.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
Wow feels mythic really? Seems that all players have not the same feeling about power level.
Althought the card is not bad, i even like it wich is rare in this set, maybe it will find a place in tron
There are plenty of mythics that are weak but feel mythic nonetheless (enter the infinite, for example), because of how unique or grand their effect is. And there are some mythics that are mythic only because they are powerful (like blood baron of vizkopa, for example). And there are a few powerful mythics that also feel mythic (like most planeswalker, griselbrand, etc.)
This feels mythic, without being really powerful, because mostly of the uniqueness of the effect, viz. a sacrifice on a hard to attain trigger on a land to fetch something othrwordly like na eldrazi (although it can also fetch artifact creatures).

From the Command Zone podcast
Well, Ugin was trying to lure the Eldrazi Titans to Zendikar to trap them. Maybe the Sanctum was a part of that? I don't know.

it could probably replace Eye of Ugin in Tron,
but as-is, Eye is still preferable.
