I think to enable more allies, they had to explore more space than "When this or another Ally EtB..." And this card is both exciting and balanced. I'm looking forward to building a fun EDH and a bad Modern deck with him.
There is absolutely nothing UW about that legend. Should have been green at the very least and UG would make perfect sense. Yet another lost opportunity to give UG a unique legend!
Eldrazi is weird.
well, it fits the curve anywhere, but is always behind it in power.
without any abilities to back it up, it's not likely to see constructed play.
very good in limited though.
Noyan Dar, in the other hand is quite amazing.
it's very powerful, each spell you cast, you can pump a land dude or make another land dude.
I'll be surprised if this guy doesn't find a home in standard.
in a control deck, it'll get out of hand very quickly.
It also may finally be the BFF Narset Transcendent needs to be the powerhouse she can be.
Endless One is a freaking TERRIBLE Rare!

I actually like this one. A scaleable, on-curve creature for any colour or deck is quite cool and without much precedent. Ivy Elemental is crying in a corner.

merfolk is dissapointing. was hoping the UW rare would be a control card.
A dude who turns all your lategame cantrips, removal, and countermagic into dudes IS a control card.
Perhaps he's playable, but only once you hit 8, since you'd want to protect him and your lands. Still very meh. I want an actual good blue draw spell that gives me more card advantage than green
This is supremely disappointing. Good job Wizards, way to make Zendikar 2.0 the return to Kamigawa. Bland and overcosted mechanics, everybody read for Standard to be KTK Block + Origins and one or two BFZ cards?
I don't normally complain about a sets power level, but I think this is turning into my opportunity to play modern. Expedition Lottery aside, this set is not shaping up well at all.

hey now, if you save up to 7 lands for temple of the forsaken gods you can have an 8/8 for 7

On spoiled card wishlisting and 'should-have-had'-isms:

RIP Batman guy. I hope somebody picks up the slack now that you are gone. Sick children need their Batman.
Also looks pretty sweet as a late-game play in control decks.
Not sure what to make of the Eldrazi.
