Alright then, sounds fair. You'd think they'd be nothing but chalky, Eldrazi dust now, but that's alright.

I can always get behind more WB reanimation,
and this seems like it has a lot of potential.

Interesting, but I wonder why the 8 CMC restriction.... I can't wait to see what were deemed too good to be affected by this.

So, if Allies are playable at all this has to be good. Are we supposed to go Mardu, then? That seems strange flavor-wise, but the good Allies seem to be in those colors.

For ally decks this is okayish, but for some reason the absolute narrowness of this card ticks me off, especially with such a good name. It is really only going to see play in one type of deck in standard(maybe Allys are good enough),limited, and EDH(maybe we get a 5 color Ally legend); otherwise another great name going to be stuck in the 50 cent rare binder.

Assuming that Ally trigger works as I think, brining four Akoum Battlesinger from graveyard would give you four 17/1 with haste?

So you get 8 mana's worth of dudes for 5 mana instead. All of which will trigger their own rally abilities and all the rally abilities of everything already on the board. That's outstanding. I was going to play Bant or Naya Allies but this might make me go 5c.

Question. If I reanimate two Ally dudes with rally and return them to the battlefield with this card,do each of their rally abilities trigger twice? Once for entering the battlefield themselves and another time for the other Ally that's also entering the battlefield. I'm guessing no but that would be sweet.

That. could be really frackin good. Verdict is out of course until we see the whole set, but this has the potential to be a major beating.

They do trigger twice, according to Valakut.

Yes they do trigger twice, since both ETB at the same and it says When this creature or another Ally ETBs. So you get 4 ETB triggers(two from each Ally).

This could get a little busted if they reveal an Ally that grants another target ally haste or something.

If there is a single Ally that gives haste... I'm scared to even think it, but Allies might be a tier 3 Modern deck... Hey, they can't all be winners.


EDIT: Oh, and Allies will wreck standard for the next 1.5 years too if that is the case.

This is one of the higher power level cards we've seen in this set. Definitely keep your eyes open for the rally combo pieces like haste and damage.

Sweeeeet. Now I'm just waiting for some lower cmc allies this spell can get nasty with. This is already sick with Tajuru Warcaller on the field.

3 Halimar Excavators and one other ally mills for 48, but I think Return to the Ranks is way better if you're trying to do something like that in modern. This could be a serious standard player though.

Ah, I misread - sounds good! Though obviously I'll be looking for a way to abuse those ETB triggers
