While Temple Garden apparently being on a mountain makes less sense the art is way better than this one. This is why I want full art lands away from Zendikar. I don't like the broken and hedron-y landscape. :\

Arg, first a fountain that is not a fountain, then a temple garden that does not even look like a GW land and now sacred foundry that does not even look like a LAND.
Watery Grave will be a monkey eating a hedron shaped chocolate candy in a mountain top.

So narrow minded, you need to learn that things can be have completely different interpretations depending on the setting. Apparently a lot of people here can't stretch their rigid ideas of what the art of these lands should look like, just because they're so hardwired on the Ravinican versions. It's ok not to like the art, but since this is not Ravinica you have to be able to recognize that on Zendikar, this IS what a sacred foundry looks like.

modern art in a nutshell... you have to be blind to see the true art apparently.
Art is not representative of a foundry, much less sacred. Betting right now watery grave will be a hedron half-submerged in water.

Yeah, you already said that in the Temple Garden thread. Some people, myself included, don't really care for the "ALL HEDRONS ALL THE TIME" art.
Strange choice, I was hoping for a kor forge, or better a forge from stoneforge kor. They could have rebuild Nahiris blade in the background, to show that it is an "sacred" thing to them, or something else then hedrons (as much as I love them).

I get the idea of "abstract concepts representing mana bonds", but these really aren't doing it for me. They're all great pieces of art on their own, but they don't thematically fit the names. How hard would it have been to find a foundry on Zendikar with some hedrons laying around? Or a temple?

People don't want to believe that. It doesn't matter how generic the names Overgrown Tomb, Steam Vents, Watery Grave or even Stomping Ground are; for some reason most people on this site fail to comprehend the actual generality of such names.
Yes, they can't just shove Shivan Reef into a set, but it's not like the shock land is called "Izzet Vents."
I think that the people complaining about this type of "inconsistency" really need to a grab a dictionary and look up every single word included in the names of the shocklands, because HINT: they aren't tied to Ravnica a FRACTION as closely as you'd think (assuming your vocabulary is past high school level)

Get off your high horse, man. Rigid ideas?
When a land is called Temple Garden, I would like it to depict at least something looking like a TEMPLE and/or a GARDEN. Especially when you can find something like temples on Zendikar (Bring to Light).
Same here. As someone pointed out, this does not even look like a LAND. Just a couple of hedrons around a fiery ball. Would it be REALLY so hard to depict some kor forging their precious weapons and equipment? Would make perfect sense flavorwise, and they could keep the hedrons flying around...
For the record, I like Steam Vents, and I can accept Godless Shrine. But this and the Temple Garden (and to some extent, the ugly flying pineapple) are fails.

There are ruins of old civilizations all over zendikar, I don't see why none of the art so far have depicted those. Instead they printed abstract interpretations of natural landscapes that hardly fit the names, if even, and completely littered them with those hedrons.
The art on some of these is gorgeous, but they are not what they say they are. I'm not even mad, means I don't have to waste money on them.
Although it could have been easily an actual biulding of some sort, it fits the bill. Absolutely anything can be sacred to someone or something. Thats as loose a term as it can get. In addition it seems like this formation is supposed to look crazy hot. Like hot enough to melt and forge metal. It somehow reminds me of Mordor. Also hedrons are the one feature on zendikar that doesn't change literally all the time. Together with the threatening Eldrazi this seems to be perfectly illustrated. The only complaint I can deliver is that these lands as a whole could have been a little more full art.

Fiery hedrons. What is sacred here? What is being wrought here? Why is it a foundry?
Oh well. I just get over these. Super-cool arts with almost no relevance to the names.

It's quite pretty, but... it's not a foundry? Apparently the Ravnica shocks translate as "anything + hedrons" in BFZ.
This makes me hopeful in regard to Expedition lands for the next block. Hedron Canopy. Grove of the Burn Hedrons. Minamo, School At The Hedron's Edge.

I really don't like his art style for all the lands he did in BfZ. Hedrons, light source, some smoke, apply blur, done.

His cycle basics are actually my favorite of what's been revealed so far. In part because they do not have hedrons.
