This really makes me want to build that Jund Eldrazi tribal commander deck again even if it's only one card. Reads super fun. Maybe with blue Eldrazi in this set I can switch to Sultai Eldrazi to play blue untap effects with green's tutors for Coffers as ramp. Depending on what the rest of the blue ones look like.

They didn't care that he was the savior of Fort Keff, the great hunter of Ondu, the champion of Kabira. To them, he was just another piece of flesh, a thing with life to be drained away.
The card as translated doesn't explicitly state that the tutored card must be revealed. Every tutor that has a stipulation on it has the reveal phrase on it, as it's necessary to demonstrate that the stipulation(s) are met. So... is there no reveal here? Is there an "understood" reveal?

The simplest explanation is just that that part of the translation was messed up. That's a lot more likely than any of what you're suggesting.
This is totally Tron playable !!! There might be even a "new" Tron coming, if u take out the wurmcoils for this, casting on turn 3 u tutor the new Ulamog and cast him on turn 4, u can also tutor Sundering Titan, this is strong, i'll be testing this for sure
I foresee turn 4 new Ulamog as a possibility with this.

I assume you are trying to say you can put him on the battlefield (via reanimation etc.) and still get the cost reduction, which is quite clear. Have we ever seen a cost reduction effect like this in magic before? If not, kudos to wizards for continuing to make eldrazi unique.

I'm aware of cards like eye of ugin and drover, which crop up from time to time. I'm more referring to an effect that reflects on itself the way this new card does. The ability is a cost reduction that actually does nothing the turn you cast him. The new gideon has a + ability that also does nothing the turn he comes down. It's a design question really. "How often do we see cards that cancel their own cost reduction effects like this?" might have been a better question.

My favorite flavor text: Time of Heroes
Feel free to tell me yours!
It's better than anything else not named Ulamog for Tron spoiled so far for the deck, but I still can't see it making the cut.
I like this a lot, and I agree with you that it might not make the cut for Tron decks... but I think Titan's Presence is still the more noteworrthy add for Tron spoiled so far. Particularly Tron flavors that don't pack the planeswalkers - mostly colorless-creature-trons.
meh....put it on the top so it can be exiled before your next turn? It might be ok, but i'll reserve judgement until I see it played.

"I'd say this about guarantees that it won't be up till this Friday, but considering the current track record, the ETA is now probably two weeks after the set has been out."

After seeing some ideas in the Modern thread for discussing this, I think that the combination of this, Newlamog, and maybe Desolation Twin is gonna be great in RG Tron in Modern, replacing Ugin and a few Karns. It seems like an uncounterable tutor for Ulamog to exile 2 permanents uncounterably or for a 10/10 that makes an uncounterable 10/10 will make RG Tron a lot more resilient to Twin and remove all hope for blue decks. As a blue/white Control player, I sincerely hope that I am wrong.

The Japanese does include the phrase "reveal that card". FYI.
Of course, you'd have to get an exactly 7 CMC colorless creature, which basically limits you to Platinum Angel, Myr Battlesphere and Memnarch as far as playable cards. Still a cool combo.
Oooh, I like it. Finally more cards to put in Call of the Wild.dec! I wonder if we're close enough to a deck like that that actually functions reasonably enough for modern?
But the people behind the barrier knew.

No slot in RG tron, stick with eye of ugin.
Cōnservātum album delenda est.
In more competitive games though it's not getting you value.
If you want a real tutor on a creature you just play Sidisi, Undead Vizier.
But I also think we'll still need to see more serious mana ramp first.

Krosan Drover comes to mind.

Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
