*gasp* The Eldrazi squishing art I've been waiting for!
I like it. The art is really cool, it has Awaken for a pretty sizeable land man and the non-land clause is pretty flavorful. Is one more colorless mana for a nuke really that bad?

Seems like a good sweeper for control, if you do a lot of Awaken or other man-land type of stuff and your opponent doesn't. Plus, if your opponent is at 4 life and you have 8 mana, it's GG.
I like this, but End Hostilities is gonna be the sweeper of choice for W/x standard control decks.
Why? The attached cards clause of End Hostilities almost never matters and having a sweeper that can pack a body late game seems way better. With Theros rotating out and Awaken coming in I think this is contextually outright better than End Hostilities.
It's pretty close to an End Hostilities in it's 5cc form (which seems to be the new standard for actual wraths), and for an extra 3 mana you get to make a land into a 4/4 creature as well (and it'll have post wrath haste if it was already in play and still untapped). It's no Desolation Giant but it's not bad either.
This card is very good. 5 mana for a sweeper is the standard, and for 8 mana--which is not out of reach for a control deck--you get to also create board presence after your wrath has resolved, which is insane. With bestow rotating, unless we get some very good equipment, this and Tragic Arrogance will be the white wraths of choice.
I really hope they're spoiling the junk cards up front this time and that tomorrow's spoilers are really going to get things going because so far, aside from the lands and a handful of mythics, the rares in this set are doing nothing for me.

It's Like TwinSais says. If Awaken is good, or there are good cards with Awaken, however you want to word it, then why use a card that could destroy only some of your opponent's creatures? End Hostilities just flat out destroys all creatures with a bonus of destroying equipment. Planar Outburst does net you a 4/4 in the late game, you run the chance of not killing all your opponents creatures.
Plus, if your opponent is at 4 life and you have 8 mana, it's GG.
You'd need 9 mana to end the game right away, in that case. If you're at 8 mana, the land you Awaken will be tapped. Not to mention, if they have any land-dudes of their own, you might not be able to attack through anyway.

There are 6 good cards in the set. It's that way for every set and it's easy to forget about that when you're hammered over the head with 140-300+ bad cards for each set. But that's the way it's always been and we still like the game.
If the deck runs lots of Awaken spells, this is a shoe-in. A 4/4 with wrath can be absolutely backbreaking, perfect for control. That said, the deck that runs this should probably also run Displacement Wave to deal with early aggro, or at least include some green ramp to play Outburst and other Awaken spells faster.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.

Also, why can't we just have a sweeper like this?

Super solid card.
Contrary to popular traditions, I for one am happy to not be up against a slew of cheap unconditional sweepers in standard.

It would look like each side has a Fast and Slow archetype:
Fast Eldrazi - Devoid Blitz
Slow Eldrazi - Ingest shenanigans
Fast Zendikari - Rally decks
Slow Zendikari - Awaken decks
I think it... amusing that Nissa, the Worldwaker, is... slow in coming to card form in Zendikar.
