From a user known as Jhawk94 on artofmtg.com (scroll to the bottom comments to see):
I've seen his pw card from a friend of mine that works for wizards.
He is a 3BB
+1 draw a card, lose a life
-3 destroy target creature
-8 target opponent gets an emblem that say "when you draw a card lose 2 life"
I cannot remember if he starts at 4 or 5
Normally I wouldn't put much stock into such a thing, but earlier in the same comment section, he nailed Gideon on the same date. Credit also to Defrag25 of Reddit for calling this to everyone's attention.
I have neither the skill to correctly and accurately analyze this set in the context of current and future formats after 12 hours of exposure, nor the hubris to delude myself into believing that I do.
The art that was spoiled for him a while ago was clearly Planeswalker art, but I kinda wished they'd saved it for the next set.
Maybe? The Kiora that was announced for AotP makes it sound like she's going to be in this set, but the trailer and the story so far kind of make it seem like Nissa will be in the set. I think it could go either way right now.
That emblem isn't very exciting. His first two abilities are cool I guess.
Well, it's a control card that when you ult with it will inevitably win you the game. Not "exciting", but definitely strong. If you have control of the board, you can work your up to his ult. If you don't, you can kill something. Seems good in some builds. While it's a slow burn, it's also a slow burn without anyway of stopping it. And it turns something like Abzan Charm into "Draw two, lose six".
Perhaps Kiora will be reserved for set #2. There's a story on battleforzendikar.com called "Home Waters" (episode 7 I believe) so that possibly suggests Kiora will be making a late entrance to the story arc.
You guy are getting WAY to caught up in his ultimate...his first 2 abilities are useful in literally every black deck archetype (except maybe Rakdos aggro). How often do you even get to use an ultimate anyway?

The way they pushed Nissa in the story I could also see her in the second set as the Planeswalker that finally defeats Ulamog. Or wizards will go out of their way and print an additional PW like they did in M13 and M15.
Yeah, I can see that happening, too. Jace seems like the 3rd walker with Ob and Gideon. (At least, according to the story so far.)
If this Ob is confirmed legit, it is deceptively very powerful.

What exactly is deceptive about repeatable card advantage and creature removal?
It's a fair walker. In fact many custom card designers already have this melding of abilities in mind (for years), tested them in their custom cubes and such.
Doesn't do anything over the top, that's for sure.
If true, he seems pretty solid. His -3 can protect himself and give immediate value against removal, and his +1 is a great source of card advantage. Good against midrange and control, not good for stabilizing against aggro. Pretty weak ult, but it is somewhat attainable (if you don't need his -3), and gives inevitability.
Phyrexian Arena+, higher price for more utility.
-3 is kinda expensive though, as he only ticks up +1 so you can't use it that often.
Well destroy target creature can be much more powerful than sac like liliana of the veil does. They don't want to have the card single handily wreck the opponents creatures.
Both his +1 and -3 generate card advantage thats huge.

Agreed, but its not like black has that rough a time with aggro anyway. Especially with stuff like Ulcerate around

Kiora will almost certainly be UG.
Yes, but nissa will probably be mono-G
