My point is that Darksteel Citadel in m15 means it wasn't explicitly associated with Mirrodin, as you said. Which means it could just show up in Origins because Wizards wants it there.
Or they could flavor it for Kaladesh or whatever. You can't just write it off as a possibility (unless it's out of the crunch).
Well, the difference there is that M15 didn't have a specific plane or planes it took place on, while Origins has ten planes, none of which are Mirrodin. I don't think it's likely we'll see Citadel again based on that, as Darksteel IS Mirrodin-specific, and you can't just reflavor that.

Core sets used to be able to have any set cards in them, hence the Soul of x cards.

M15 was a normal core set, that could have reprints from anywhere. For Origins they specifically stated that finding reprints was tougher than normal because they wanted to show cards from the 10 Origins planes only. Since 3 are new ones, that means ALL of our reprints have to be from Dominaria, Bant, Innistrad, Theros, Lorwyn, Zendikar or Ravnica. They also stated Darksteel only exists in Mirrodin, and since Mirrodin is not one of those planes it can be confirmed to be out of Origins. The fact that it was printed in M15 doesn't matter.

I disagree with your reasoning, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Just so that we are all on the same page, StarlightWizard isn't speculating - Sam Stoddard was pretty clear on that issue here:
Relevant quotes:
"Nothing from Tarkir, Mirrodin, Kamigawa, or the various other planes was allowed."
"Even if Darksteel Reactor is the perfect card to put into a set, we can't just put it anywhere—it has to go someplace where Darksteel exists, which is (as of now) only Mirrodin/New Phyrexia. We can make a card that is functionally identical, but that name has to go."
So we can rule out Darksteel Citadel and any other land reprint that isn't flavor-neutral or could be associated with one of Origin's 10 planes. My personal hope is that we see four other new lands associated with some of the less familiar planes like Vryn, but I agree that Evolving Wilds is highly-likely.

I could see lands for vryn and Regatha. The pain lands are dominaran theros is still in Standard for now zendikar will be so I can see them not using either of them for now. Which leaves lorwyn bant and innistrad. Evolving wilds could be innistrad (as well as zendikar) Bant seems hard to pull off as a land cause of the restrictions so we could see reflecting pool

I'm surprised that Fleshbag Marauder made it through, since the original flavor text makes it clear that it's from Grixis, and it wouldn't be found on Bant.
Fleshbag Marauder's name isn't Grixis however. Ornithopter could be in the set with a flavor attached to Kaladesh if they wanted, and that would be fine, since thopters exist on multiple planes (and exist in Kaladesh). The term 'Darksteel' is specific to Mirrodin/NP, that is the hanging point for that set of cards.

Strictly speaking, fleshbags were a specific type of zombies "native" to Grixis, but I admit that the name is less specific than darksteel, and hence usable.

Dragon Fodder or Goblin Assault are the only 2 cards in shards of alara that make goblin tokens so it might be that they are in the set and the soldier token for the set is from rtr and the only card in that set that makes that token is Precinct Captain
so unless i missed a card that makes a token then these should be in the set

Last I heard the promo's work like the past several pre-releases, six packs of origins and a 7 card seeded pack though this time. From what I heard there is a chance of your planeswalker being the promo among other cards in color. But for clarification it is 99% likely it is just a date stamped version of the rare.

Ajani Vengeant, Emrakul, Wurm Coil, Sheoldred were great prerelease promos. Ugh I hate the way they do promos now. What's next will they just get rid of game day ones too?
Long gone are the days Mythics being promos (unless they're Judge Foils or similar in level).
Actually, I'd consider Origins an improvement - when they changed the system in Khans of Tarkir, they essentially removed the rare from the Seeded Pack since they considered the Prerelease Foil to be the rare of the Seeded Pack. (Before that, during RTR and Theros, the Seeded Pack had the set prerelease foil and a rare in it, essentially meaning 2 rares and 7 total in the Pool, not counting regular foil rares.) Now the Seeded Pack is considered the "6th and a half" pack and will include the Prerelease foil along with 6 Regular Origins packs, this means we will get 7 rares once again.
I doubt Game Day promos will be going anywhere though, since they encourage people to play in the event (unlike prereleases, since the nature of a prerelease by itself already encourages people to play). They essentially fill in a part of what the MPR promos used to do (encourage playing), but at a lower scale along with a much lower cost (MPR was costly to maintain).
I mean, I like how they do promo's now, but it would be more awesome if they gave everyone a promo they weren't allowed to use also like ye olde days. Everyone should get an Alhammaret's Archive and not be allowed it in their deck.

Ancient ziggurat (ancient tomb is wishful thinking though)
Evolving wilds
Mana confluence
Mutavault(wild guess but unlikely)

Neither Goblin Assault nor Precinct Captain fits the number crunch. Dragon Fodder and Murder Investigation do, though it would be a bit odd to see Fodder reprinted when it literally just appeared a set ago. It's not like Negate, which seems destined to never leave standard.
