Atarka's Command made me predict that Zendikar would be upon us. Instant speed land placement meant that Landfall would be abound in the near future of Standard.
Yes Allies has lots of design space left.
Hopefully they will do other Land-y mechanics, in addition to landfall.

Respect to all who called it. I honestly did not expect them to jump to this storyline immediately after Khans.
Same. I figured it would be the block after, but I'm honestly really glad that they aren't putting off the story line any more. Here's hoping the storyline is actually resolved.
The nice thing about this announcement we can skip will Magic Origins have Fetches will MM2015 have fetches

Battle for Zendikar pretty much confirms there won't be Enemy fetches in DTK
You're going back to the plane where they first appeared that's where they show up.
Assuming they show up in the first set that means about a 6 month timeframe where all ten will be in standard, I think that's about as long as you want them to be together.
Rise of the Eldrazi was one of my favorite sets of all time. Eldrazi had so much thought out design, compared to the rest of Zendikar block combined.
Now this can go two ways, either land-based or Eldrazi-based. Of course ramp and big expensive spells went really well together.

Well, it makes landfall more useful. I just thought it was because the rest of the cycle were instants, TBH. (And the blue ones have to be instants.)

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
and THIS is where we'll get the enemy fetches. Right?
I assume it will be the Man-lands instead. Much better choice in most respects, and a bit more difficult to print elsewhere. Also ties much more nicely into the lore and setting of Zendikar. Equally gives an opportunity to finish the cycle.
I wish my 4/4s with haste and first strike that acted as Goblin Warchiefs were better and didn't die to instants and overshadowed all other 4 drops in the format. And that they had evasion too, and some way to dodge wrath effects.

Tarn is a lake. The first pic has no lake on it. Sorry.

Battle for Zendikar seems like an auto-inclusion of the Eldrazi, right? Else who would they be battling for Zendikar.
Maybe Ugin shows up as a Legendary Dragon? New Nissa???

Nope, a tarn is a mountain lake, so a scalding tarn would have been a mountain lake that is steaming or boiling.
Thats just some volcanic mountain belching out lava.
