Yeah I like the fact that Temur is getting a few anti-Elspeth effects going on...I mean Elspeth can ***** on Temur so easily with her minus that it is certantly the worse menace the deck have to face lol
I think you got it wrong. Elspeth is anti-Temur. Not exactly the other way round. I think the 3rd ability is the *****tiest. I'll say Sultai charm is the best of the lot so far. It'll take quite a push to bring it down from its no1 status, and I don't see it happening with Jeskai and Abzan.
Speaking of which, Jeskai charm is probably gonna give doublestrike... And Abzan will give more counters or indestructible. Predictable stuff.
The thing is, yes, If each effect was a different card for the same CMC then those cards would be bad. but since they are all on one card makes the card super flexible. Its not the individual parts of the card that define it - It is the sum of those parts. or something like that.
This card is the perfect charm for any midrange deck. Removal, counterspell (for your opponent's removal), and unblockable so that your Polukranos isn't continually chumped by a 1/1 Soldier token.

I agree this one is the worst charm right now but I think better charms than the sultai charm can appear (there were better ones in alara). I think an abzan charm being something like: Riot Control or Midnight Haunting as a white effect,Common Bond as a green effect and a lesser Zombify (like CCM 4 or less) would be a plausible and better card.
A token producing mode is already on the Mardu charm, so I don't think we'll see a similar option on the abzan equvalent...
Everyone keeps calling it Hunt the Weak, Prey Upon, ect. Why aren't people just calling it what it is, Pit Fight? Instant speed fighting spell. I don't think the third ability will be too relevant in standard, but whoo boy, was Gruul Charm ever a beating in limited in the right decks. This is a different type of falter, but there probably won't be many fliers with power 4 or greater (Speaking of which, is Sarkan considered our obligatory dragon? Did....we do it? Have we encountered a set without a single Creature - Dragon in it?), this should probably win out a lot of games, provided you haven't used it yet.

I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?
Standard: Superfriends!
Legacy: Nic Fit / Pod
Pauper: Delvar; Tron; Flicker Stuff
Commander: Riku ("Some weird doubple spell thing happened"); Keranos ("I did a Gatherer search for 'random' and 'flip a coin.'"); Superfriends!
Lame. I was hoping for something that might be playable in Animar.
Oh, I suppose Wizards should feel bad now because they didn't print something that suits your exact preferences. How rude of them.
Good card, I suppose. The most powerful effect is definitely the Mana Leak, at least in a vacuum. The other two modes don't look so powerful on paper (especially the Falter-effect) because you need board presence for them to do anything, but in the end, they're just charm modes. Maybe they will prove to be more useful than they first seem, and if not, you can always just use the Mana Leak.
@quizzlemanizzle: I took the liberty of quoting you in my sig. All those 'why is this rare?' complaints are getting really annoying (even if they are understandable sometimes)...
If you think about the clan mechanic, it makes complete sense that this is a card that utilizes big creatures of yours while offering some form of protection on the side, similar to how other charms aid their respective clan. Mardu destroys blockers, create surprise blockers (after you attack), and remove any trickeries that would defy your attack, while Sultai destroy permanents and can fuel your graveyard.
Prey Upon with a mini +1/+1 growth Mana Leak
and a mass almost unblockable effect (gets by tokens, Courser, Caryatid etc.)
This is probably my least favourite of the 3 we've seen so far (mainly because it requires you to have decent creatures to have most of it's value) but it's still a very good card for a RUG mid-range style of deck.
It's ok. I'm not sure Temur wouldn't just want setessan tactics instead of this, though. Tactics is certainly better than the first and third modes on the charm, but maybe the mana leak makes it worth it? We'll see, I guess. So far Sultai charm is definitely looking the best with Mardu and Temur charms both looking playable but maybe not better than some other options (for constructed, at least).
Hopefully we get to see the Jeskai charm soon. It's one of the cards I've been looking forward to seeing since we found out Khans was a wedge set.
Definitely not as good as the other two previewed so far but it's still a fine card in and of itself. Helps break parity with the basically 'unblockable' mode and it can certainly screw up your opponent with the fight/counter sides. However it's rather atrocious when you're behind or color-screwed.

Overall I'd say its a very reasonable card in the context which it should be played. The fact that the first mode doesn't require the creature to tap while 'fighting' makes it a far more aggressive answer than Setessan Tactics. The mana leak effect is still reasonable at 3 mana and the falter effect is more applicable than people are giving it credit for. Courser, Carytid, Eslpeth tokens, Xenagos tokens, all play havoc on a midrange aggressive deck and this charm gives you the tools to combat them, at least, even if on a limited axis. I'm not blown away by it and I do think, in a vaccum, its the least powerful of the charms thus far...But we don't actually play the game in a vaccum and I'd be surprised if this isn't a roleplayer in the upcoming Standard season.
