]Another Wizards fanboy wants to glorify everything they do. Why can't you see that the game has gotten nothing but worse since the 1940's? At least in the 1800's we had spells that actually did something. I remember in 1492 when I first opened a pack of Alpha under the dim light of my oil lantern, I was at least inspired to travel to a new undiscovered land.!
I like it a lot. It trades with serious problem creatures (Courser of Kruphix!), with removal including board wipes, and with aggression from the other side, while keeping your tempo up. Very strong, very versatile.

Instant speed removal for the myriad of X/4s we will face, or instant-duress, or instant 1/1 fstrikers (which is a way to kill a X/2 or two X/1s and get value). Insane charm that will see tons of play - it's very hard for a Charm to have 3 live options (see Gruul Charm) and this one does it.
I still like the Sultai Charm better (it's more powerful and Sultai is my favourite 3 colour combination) but this is a very potent card.
A lot of the time it's like this -
- Kill a creature (Flame Slash at instant speed)
- Deal 2 damage divided as you choose between attacking creatures, if that damage was lethal get 2 1/1 warrior tokens.
- Duress (during your opponents draw step).
The power of the last one can't be underestimated, instant speed discard where you get to choose is very powerful (think Vendillion Clique's disruptive power but without the potential of randomly drawing your opponent into something better). For a token/aggro strategy it's particularly good since you can use it to get rid of wrath effects even if they mise one.
Instant speed targeted discard is very good. Gives you lots of information for your next turn, and may allow you to nab a pesty counter-spell or board wipe.

While I don't disagree with you on Sultai Charm being more powerful, I think it's important to keep in mind that this card almost never has a dead mode.
Sultai Charm, while insanely powerful, is very conditional. In fact, the only non-conditional mode is the draw/discard.
This card, while maybe not as versatile holistically, almost always has more valid modes.
Sultai Charm has 3 removal modes and then cycles - well, better than cycling as you see an extra card and get to dump any one card.

I am seriously not disappointed with this one, I hope they keep up the quality of the charms. Sultai and Mardu have been great so far. Sultai Charm is powerful, although more conditional, and I think in light of that this one is probably a little better, or at least more widely useful. The three modes, as previously stated, are individually very useful, and pretty powerful, especially the instant discard.
I swear I first read it as Wingbonger...something tells me that "As Long as Wingbonger is paired with another creature, both creatures have weed." wouldn't be as good. Seems solid for limited.
unlike sultai charm, this charm can kill Soldier of the Pantheon. Also bonus points if you have an Anthem effect to kill bigger stuff while also getting some board presence.

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.
The magic number for damage to be was 4 and this charm delivers.
The discard reads weak but in actual application it at worst tells you exactly what to expect on your next turn and at best it also removes a key card while giving you the "at worst" info as well.
Useful card, and having one mode that furthers your board state is a big deal.
Wow, I hope the rest of the charms are this good and they aren't being so slow to spoil them because these are the only two playable ones.
I am curious as to what Temur and Jesaki will have as well. Mardu has burn removal and Sultai has mono-colored creature removal. Will one of them dispose of multi-colored creatures only?

to call sultai charm conditional has to be a joke. its a removal/disenchant that also freakin cycles. i guess cryptic command is also really conditional then.
What? I don't understand the disconnect here.
Let's look at the modes.
-Destroy target monocolored creature
If it wasn't obvious, which i suppose it must not've been, the condition here is that the creature has to be monocolored. That doesn't make this mode not strong, but what it does do is remove scenarios where it's effective.
-Destroy target artifact or enchantment
Another fairly obvious condition - Opponent has an artifact or enchantment in play. Again, a strong mode, but not relevant 100% of the time.
Obviously, the draw/discard mode is not conditional.
How can you call the first two modes unconditional? They are conditional by definition. There are conditions which, if not met, render them useless.
But the card overall is not conditionally useful because one of the modes is /always/ live. The same reason Azorius Charm was good. The Condemn mode was pretty conditional, the Lifelinki mode even more so, but because you could cycle, it was never dead.
Wow, that's utility. Being able to cast an instant speed hand disruption spell is a fresh take on the discard mechanic. It's also a strong removal spell. It's also a cheeky combat trick and a token enabler. This charm cycle is looking great so far, with both having 3 modes that are all very relevant.
