All unblocked attacking creatures get Poison 10.
There, I got it.
What's really amazing about the card is how AWESOME it sounds when you first read it and how fast you realize that it's trash. That hi-low experience was a lot more intense than almost any card I've seen in years.
People saying this is 9 mana... I guess Deranged Hermit is 10 mana D: You can't stack mana across turns in mtg this analysis is totally ridiculous. A cmc 10 card is not bad because it asks you 10 mana, it is bad because you need about half your deck's land, meaning you will have to draw about 30 cards meaning it's going to be a turn 15+ play without any mana exploit or massive card draw.
This is cmc 4, you only need about 20% of your deck, which about only 12 cards. Easily used on t4 and activated on t5.
Not saying it is good or playable, just arguing the obvious - it can't be compared to cmc 9 cards.

I could totally dream up a use for that card even at exorbitant mana costs to make it playable. Maybe if you made it "All unblocked attacking creatuers get Poison X, where X is half their power rounded down". Kind of reminds me of Decimator Web, which was our previous 'win-moar incarnate' champion*, and maybe still holds the throne against this, erm, throne.
But yeah, what kind of nonsensical board position do you need to be in that you're dumping huge amounts of mana into an artifact, effectively sacrificing a big beater, and only getting anything out of it if you already have a sizeable host of *more* beaters to go alongside it. Yech.
*I'm not forgetting spawnsire of ulamog exists, but at least wizards is self aware on that one and is using it for nearly comic effect
People do realise that defenders will be a thing in KTK Standard right? Do not trash talk this card until the rest of the set is released to see how it works with the block. Worst thing you can do is badger this card before you see the set.

Ah yes, more EDH tech.. It's great with infinite mana tricks..
Tech in a format that has access to every board wipe ever printed (except Upheaval? The card only really works well if you can cause a blow out and that require over-extending. I am sure there will be 2-3 people who love the hell out of the card, but anything that only does well with with creature hordes is going to be niche at best.
Love that most of the people saying this is bad without knowing the upcomming new meta are the same who said Desecration Demon was trash and that would see no competitive play .... Yeah they were right in both cases
Yes i will remenber you that you can t say a card is trash before knowing the formart... If you want to say the card looks bad or that you can t farthorn any usages its ok but saying it is unplayable is stupid...
Hmm I need a Xenagos, God of Revels as I feel its a winning combination in EDH with the throne.
"2, T: each creature you control gets +6/+6 and trample until end of turn. At the beginning of combat on your turn, another target creature you control gains haste and gets +X/+X until end of turn, where X is that creature's power."
Where even your 1/1 mana dork can suddenly become a 14/14 trampler with haste until end of turn. How about a Putrefax that suddenly becomes a 7 mana smart bomb if your opponent doesn't prevent 22 infect damage. I can even 1-up the Putrefax with Spinebiter, 18/19 infect that will deal its damage unless you literally use a "prevent damage that would be dealt" spell or ability, blocking won't work. One last example with infect is a meta that is a bit artifact-heavy, I heard Tel-Jilad Fallen is looking for work. Plus its hardly Christmas land scenarios as it just requires a god with full devotion to be equipped with the throne, all other creatures become even bigger beasts. Besides infect is just the tip of the iceberg. Stuff like a 22/22 Timbermare or a 24/19 Ball Lightning I find hilarious.

Just because some predictions of card value are wrong does not mean all predictions of card value are wrong.
Some things are meta-indpendent. Many things are meta-independent.
Limited jank that sounds vaguely cool upon first reading, just like The Chain Veil.

Apparently Legendary Artifact these days just means "overcosted-winmore-limited jank that sounds cool for about 0.5 seconds upon first reading."
...and yet calling cards that have historically been bad is bad. I'm not saying there isn't a metagame this card would be awesome in, but we have never seen one and there is no reason to to believe Wizards would ever make the game so heavy towards *****ting out a bunch of creature for turn 6 haymaker alpha strike zerg rushes that this card will ever be anything but terrible. I honestly want it (and Chain veil) to be amazing, but you are right.
This could work in a green shell since green has pretty crazy ramp right now and this functions as a pseudo mana sink. Now obviously this is not what you would want in a normal aggro or midrange shell. (It's amusing people posting how playing this turn 4 then using t5 is pretty bad, kinda go's without saying).
But anyway as a 1 off in mono green it could work as a repeatable overrun that can be used defensively. And what else could be more fun than getting a game like: T1-2 dorks, 3 polukranos, 4 hornet queen, 5 nythos throne on polu and roflslam them with 6/6 flying deathtouch tramplers. And as an added bonus if you pull that off at any point in a big tourney there's a pretty decent chance you get to see your opponent flip ***** and yell at you for being a *****ty player and playing a such a terrible card

It will come down to ~3 really good cards and the rest is junk.
Kinda like Kamigawa.
As the set is multi-color we can at least hope for some cool legends, a randomly op one kinda like Ghostcouncil or the like.

I wouldn't even play this in limited unless it's a limited format that generates ground stalls a lot.
Then you will miss a good card in limited ... :\
Overrun was always playable in limited , a repeatable overrun will always be good in a deck you can put 3 creatures on board...
