The price is fine, but I think the product itself is pretty niche. They are targeting enthusiasts with a price this high, but they need casuals as most of these cards are very gettable.
Here is hoping the holiday box returns next year. I expect the contents of these to be filling the Mega Value boxes next year.
Great thing to buy in a group with friends pitching in. The $100 for four origin duel decks is very reasonable - that's only $5 more each than the original MSRP. If you tried to buy all 4 right now it would be 5x that much money.
The only thing I care about is whether they are going to be exact reprints or not. If they have a new set symbol or new art then I'll pick one up. If they are identical to the first release then, well, I already own those.

Aside from the new frames they'll be exactly like the pervious decks. Unless there's a box designed to hold them I don't know why this cost an extra 20 bucks compared to the all the originals only costing 20 a pop.

Maybe Wizards should rename this product to From the Vault: Duel Decks, this seems more a collectors item than the so called playable item they made it out to be at SDCC.

If you listen closely, you can hear the rabid defenders of the free market readying their keyboards to call us all entitled and make metaphors about expensive sports cars.
Personally, I would like to see no foils in this product, and most especially keep Demonic Tutor non foil. That is my opinion as I want only non foils for my cube I am building.
Considering how hard it is to get Foil Demonic Tutors, you should wish they made that foil instead of Lord of the Pit. You could easily trade it for a non-foil and plenty extra.

Depends. If Wal-Mart or Target gets it, it would be pointless for card shops to boost above MSRP. Hell, they could probably undercut the MSRP to $90 or so to pull in customers.
If this is card shop exclusive, I expect the price to be between $300 and $500.

"I hope to have such a death... lying in triumph atop the broken bodies of those who slew me..."
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.
never be so confident, stores can always jack up the prices because there is always people willing to pay for them, my LGS is super small and still sales at US/Big Stores price because if no local players can afford them they can just go to a bigger store and sell them there.

Well, if I wanted it that way for myself sure. I still prefer no foils personally. Again, this is my own opinion as to what I am hoping to get my hands on. I prefer to just have my collection in the new frame, as I am patiently waiting for certain singles to make their way around again.
Yeah, re-reading that comment didn't make sense to me either, so just shake your head. I suppose I am weird with how I want my stuff, but then again, it is my preference.
Back on subject though, Everyone seems to have differing opinions on this obvious MSRP pricing. I still consider it a fair deal, with, or without foils, and will put forth my own pre-order soon.
What's the deal with these? Are they exact copies of the original Duel vs Decks?
It might be a nice cheap way to collect the ones I don't own as the price in the UK is £65 for all 4, that is unless they come in a boxset with an anthology sticker on each box separately to distinguish them form the originals.
I kinda wish Phyrexia vs the Coalition was included in here, but ah well, can't have it all. Probably won't buy it but it will at least get some extra copies of certain not-easy-to-find cards into rotation, so there's always that.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
What I was trying to find out is are the duel decks included in the anthology excatly the same as the ones released years ago that are now out of print?
We won't be seeing Phyrexia vs. the Coalition getting reprinted as long as the Reserved List is around thanks to Phyrexian Negator. Which means, if and when they get around to a second Anthology, we'll be seeing Elspeth vs. Tezzeret, Knights vs. Dragons, Ajani vs. Nicol Bolas, and Venser vs. Koth.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
$100 is too much. Most of the money cards (Imperious Perfect, Demonic Tutor...) will decrease in value, and this isn't exactly a "collector's item" because collectors will want the original (don't get me wrong, they will still buy this, but it won't be something people buy 10 of and horde). At $80, I would have considered buying this, at $100 I am laughing at this and saving money for Modern Masters 2 or an extra box of Khans.
Definitely won't be picking up the anthology set. That's way too steep a price when I really want only like a dozen or so cards out of all the decks. I'll just wait till singles go up online and pick them up then.

Unless they don't truly reprint the whole thing, and take out Negator and replace it with something else, while leaving the rest the same. Maybe replace Negator with Obliterator even though it would be a flavor fail.
That's quite a high price tag for a product that's just reprints of reprints. There aren't even any special exclusive versions of any cards, just the M15 frame update.
It has to be a very low supply product as the demand for this should be thin. Still, their market research determined it's worth releasing, and holiday season makes it much easier to sell product like this, so it can't be a failure. Just not interesting enough for most of us.
These are reprints of the original Duel Decks. If they change anything other than the card frames, they're violating the concept.

Anyone else frightened they might use these decks to give out reprints of Liliana of the Veil and Jace the Mind Sculptor?
Given the fact that Lili was cut from M15, that would be the perfect opportunity.
nope. not worried about this at all because these are reprints of duel decks from the past. there's no reason to add anything to them.
