Oh my, they really wanted to play it safe with that casting cost!
Neat set of abilities, I like the design space for that ultimate.
Considering the power of the last 4 ability PW I don't blame them, but as a Modern player I'm just not sure. Tough to say without playing, but that is a hefty cmc for Modern.
What a monster. Kill target planeswalker, kill target creature, or drop a 3/3 deathtouch beast. The manacost is tough, but powerful cards cost high costs.
It's everything I wanted Vraska to be, but more.. expensive. Also, I like the synergy between Tymaret, the Murder King and Necromancer's Stockpile. It's mana but also value intensive.
The first 3 abilities are powerful but a little bland. But I think in combination, the flavor works as a predator of everything that is alive.
The ultimate is very interesting as well. Flavorfully, it is marking its prey for the kill. Mechanically, it would be devastating combined with the death touch beasts.
7 Mana is a bit conservative, I think at 6 it would be safe considering it is also dual colored.

Considering what happened with the last 4-ability (non-transforming) walker, I can see why they wanted to play it conservatively this time.
Necromancer's Stockpile seems fun. Garruk costs too much for anything competitive and in Modern is just worse than Karn Liberated. But yay for 4 ability planeswalkers!
Also, Necromancer's Stockpile, thanks Metallix

Garruk is hilarious. Expensive as hell, but hilarious.

Edit: also, did anyone else notice how they have changed the card frame for gold walkers?
Then again, it would be sweet to respond to a turn 6 Elspeth with a turn 7 Apex Predator, destroying the Elspeth.

I was wondering that myself, and I'm guessing it's simply for effect.

Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.
Yeah, I figure it's the whole grey color scheme they have going on with him for this set.
Edit: Apex Predator? Ha, Randy Orton.
