Interesting to see a character so closely tied to Innistrad appear in a core set as part of this legendary cycle. I wonder what the red legend will be?
While this one is weaker than the first, there is a bump down in rarity and importance to the set between the two. Ignoring the Original, this one isn't bad. White intensive, but you get a good bit for only 5 mana.
I like that artifact. Costly? Yes. But damn if playing it doesn't make your opponent nervous. Have a better board state than me? Well have fun rebuilding.

limited: most rares are good in limited so whatever, hopefully they reprint doom blade as well as plummet at common
I didn't expect to see Avacyn again so soon either! Her previous incarnation really puts the new one to shame. But it was a mythic rare.
I'd like the new one a lot better if it didn't have the "color" clause. Deathless Angel can make any creature indestructible for WW. Avacyn should at least prevent all damage, regardless of what it's coming from. The second ability should also just flat out prevent all damage, especially since she can't even protect herself with the first ability. She would be a pretty fun commander then.
Despite all the little tricks I've learned to make the damn site work, I still don't see LSV's planeswalker card showing up in an article, so.....IDK honestly, I'll keep trying.

The wording of those abilities on Avacyn sounds like they are killing Protection as an evergreen keyword for good.
...wat. Not at all. Its just a fog effect. Creatures can still be hit with removal, can still be blocked, and can still be targeted. Of the I believe 4 or 5 effects in the realm of "Protection From X", this covers but 1 facet.
As for the actual card, its kinda underwhelming. It'll be fun in EDH as its able to be used politically though. That being said, it makes her a little... idk, less flavorful maybe? Like, she's not as impressive now?

except for card of the day. Also, expect Garruk to be spoiled on Monday.That said, wow is she worse than her previous incarnation! Great EDH general, though. Lots o'fogging.
EDIT: I hope that vault isn't the "sweeper" of the set. I'd still like a traditional sorcery sweeper as well. I think it's a great card though.
EDIT2: Really like the Liliana Vess reprint. I think the "of the Veil" version would have warped the standard metagame, this one is perfectly powered.
