Stoogeslap, it's moronic, stubborn, asshat teachers like yourself that caused me to pursue teaching in the first place, for the sole reason that I could do a better job than you, literally any day of the week. There is nothing incorrect about the thread title, except "LVS", of course. You read it wrong and failed to see the "is" proceeding "Jace." Just admit your folly and stop being a douche.
This is more out of curiosity than anything else (& please, do not take this as inflammatory), but why would you refer to Louie Scott Vargas as a planeswalker? He's a regular guy like all of us. Please do not put him on a pedestal.
Anyhoo, can't wait to see Jace.
Not sure if srs. But if srs, and if you're referring to the title of this thread, read it again and see that it's referring to Jace as the Planeswalker that LSV will be spoiling. The only thing I'm wondering is if 'LVS' is a typo or intended as a LOLOLOL.
I had to read it 3 times to get it, lol. It was poorly stated, that's all. This is the evidence that the politicians have been talking about regarding basic education - that the methods being taught are the reason why STAR testing (& the like) have had such low score results.
It's actually a correct sentence. While it's in the passive voice and the passive voice sucks, it would actually take effort to interpret the sentence as you did.
I didn't say incorrect; just poorly stated. No need to be devil's advocate here. I wasn't trolling, just verbally stating that the way it was phrased confused me. I may type/speak in common colloquial, but I do have an education in education, i.e. a single subject teaching credential.
And it is not that difficult to translate the sentence they way I did, especially since no commas were used to express where the pause in the sentence should be, which, by the way, gives the correct structure to the sentence.
For example:
"the planeswalker [LSV], will be spoiling, is Jace." (How I read it).
is different from:
"the planeswalker, [LSV] will be spoiling, is Jace." (How you read it).
The comma(s) tell the reader where to pause when reading, which allows to sentence to make sense. No commas and the sentence feels like a run-on sentence, regardless of the actual length of the sentence.
Simple English sentence structure is Subject -> Verb -> Object.
eg.: I eat apples.
The sentence in this thread as it is listed is using this simple sentence structure. [The planeswalker LVS will be spoiling] is actually the subject here. It's a compound subject, but within the structure of the phrase/sentence, it is still considered one subject.
To break it down, the basic subject as we all know is "The planeswalker" ("the" being an article tied to the noun). Though "LSV will be spoiling" includes a subject, verb with participle, and object, this phrase is a qualifier. It further describes the noun (planeswalker) in question. You were correct in noticing that this acts in some ways like an aside. However, using commas or brackets is completely incorrect and shows a lack of appreciation for the sentence structure.
Subject - verb - object
[The planeswalker LSV will be spoiling] - [is] - [Jace].
Published writer, since we're throwing out credentials.
Holy ******* ****, it was 1am or later for me, I was tired and cranky. Can we move on to a more fruitful and constructive way of spending our time? God damn...
You probably should have used semicolon instead of a comma in your latest post. Also, a terminal ellipsis should have four periods.

(I totally agree. Let's drop this grammatical discussion.)
Where do you guys think this'll fit in the spectrum of Jace power levels?
- Mind Sculptor
- Architect of Thought & Beleren (I've seen people switch them around when ranking)
- Memory Adept
There hasn't really been a "bad" Jace per se, even Memory Adept sees sideboard play in control mirrors, not to mention being completely busted in Limited.
Nevertheless, LSV is previewing it, and I doubt they'd give him near-Tibalt levels of horrible. So looking forward to this. Make it 4UU, though, so now there are Jaces all over the curve (3, 4, 5 and 6).

Honestly I would love if they actually REPRINTED Beleren but it doesn't appear that they're going to... So I'm hoping we get something about the same and I doubt they would have LSV spoil it if it was Jace the Reminder of Tibalt.
Hopefully on a power level between Mindsculpter and Architect.

Was this supposed to be on the mothership? It looks like the site may have updated early and I don't see this article.
If anything I think this early update is a glitch, but Top Decks for the week isn't added yet so thus, we don't see Jace until it is added to the site. It's definitely going to be revealed today.

Don't mind me, i'm just going to break down what Stoogeslap said, because yolo.
"the planeswalker, [LSV] will be spoiling, is Jace."
This is saying that the planeswalker that LSV will spoiler will be Jacee.
"the planeswalker [LSV], will be spoiling, is Jace"
This is a someone who doesn't know english. But the main idea is that Luis Scott-Vargas has had his spark ignited as the new blue walker, as Jace has spoiled (as in rotten). I was expecting Jace as the blue planeswalker. But it'll be cool to have a new walker, right?
Again; please don't take this seriously.

Agreed. The grammar is fine.
This misspelling (mis-initialing?) though.
