It said in the article what the garruk card is. It's part of an activity where one player plays as garruk and the other has to defeat him. Think theros and those battle the hydra and xenagos events.
the garruk PW* card is probably the grimmick for the prerelease game day
links?
You're going to be hearing a lot about this Garruk fellow in the coming weeks. As the face of Magic 2015, his imposing visage is going to be all over the place, looking about as intimidating as any Planeswalker ever has. Dude means business.
As Garruk stalks the multiverse for bigger and better prey, he's bound to run into bigger and bigger game...including you!
That's right, you'll have a chance to duel Garruk himself thanks to the gigantic Garruk card included in every Magic 2015 Prerelease box. Yup, every single box comes with your own oversized Garruk, ready to do battle. In fact, it looks a little something like this:
Explains Garruk, but I admit I'm confused. at the prerelease does one person automatically not play their deck and just play as Garruk? cause that would kinda suck.
A cool convoke card, I guess. Nothing bad, but nothing exciting we didn't see coming. Citadel/Blast and Waste Not were all known entities, and the Soul of X cycle continues to not excite, being mythics (would've preferred them at rare).
The convoke card is pretty awesome though, could see it becoming a neat deck, possibly even in Modern.
Sort of a slow start to spoiler week though, I must say. Would've liked a real Garruk to go with the fake one.

It sounds similar to the Game Day decks except that an active player is supposed to be controlling Garruk.
I like Return to the Ranks. Sadly I don't have an EDH deck that it will work in. Maybe it will make some kind of splash in Standard. So far it's looking like M15 might actually create a few new archetypes.
I'll have to get that Garruk card for my planeswalker collection. Soul of Shandalar is interesting.

What? Weren't Slivers M14's thing? Yes, they were, but I didn't want people who made Sliver decks in M14 to never get any new toys to play with. Because Slivers don't reside on Theros, M15 was the only other chance we had to get new Slivers into Standard alongside Galerider Sliver, Predatory Sliver, and the rest of the M14 crew. There is a cycle of five uncommons, many of which play well on their own and are devastating in combination, as well as a new mythic rare Sliver that every Sliver aficionado has been waiting for.
Maybe the Shrapnel Blast/Darksteel Citadel means we'll see Fortifications or something in Khans.
Ranks is pretty cool but seems like it could end up as one of those cool ones that doesn't quite see play. Might be real nice in any W/x, though, so fingers crossed this one gets to shine.

that's not what happened at all. kamahl stabbed phage, akroma, and some old lady and they became korona. then korona got stabbed by her "prophets" and kamahl got drunk with a mutant centaur
I am.... kind of bummed that it's not a Constructed-legal Garruk we have. Then again, this doesn't say anything an actual Garruk card, right? Neat design, I guess.
However, white convoke card seems a blast to play and should see some amount of people trying to break it.
I'm just glad that they are having a second go-around for slivers, because honestly the M14 slivers were pretty meh. I think having a new Sliver lord should help mitigate that by quite a bit.
The Garruk oversized Planeswalker card seems kind of pointless - does this mean the player that's playing with the Garruk card won't be playing with his or her M15 pool at all? Where's the fun in that?
I laughed too hard at that special event Garruk. It looks like something a young, newer player would think up as their first planeswalker design right down to how the card visually looks.
Guys this isn't the actual planeswalker but what the hell is it?

It's likely to be a 5-color Legendary given the way it was described.
I hope it's fun- it'll be hard to "dethrone" Sliver Queen and Sliver Overlord.

Another question is if that Garruk card exists does that mean he's not in the core set as a playable planeswalker?
