It's interesting and the kind of card I like to see. It's not overtly overpowered, but it has the potential to be a good value card. It creates situations of whether to leave mana up or whether to go for an ability or not.
This I like. It's not too pushed, very flavorful, the art is fantastic. I love the tradeoff and the feeling that the creature is a 'stealthed' assassin, only 'revealing' itself when it goes in for a kill strike. Just a real good Magic card. Definitely a good pickup in draft/sealed, though I don't know if it will have a constructed home.

Old enough to know better, much too young to care.
I actually kind of like this for constructed. Yes its not the fastest clock in the world but its not often black gets a hexproof creature and one that can switch to first strike AND deathtouch? It may not be a huge game changer but I like it.
Although from a blizz person I'd hope for something that fit from diablo. Oh well.
Wait, now when I accidentally say "blizzard" instead of "wizards" when I'm griping about the game....oh crap....

Should play nice with bestow. Build it up without worrying about removal, then use it's ability when the time is right to stomp pretty much any creature.
Have the H's in the creature type always looked like that?

I fear I won't have much time to play Magic these days.
I get to watch worlds develop around me.
I get to watch great leaders, terrible oppressors, and trend setters rise and fall.
Limited, Standard, Modern, everything is a different playing field I feel I can observe, but will not actually touch.
I look forward to the stories I will hear.
And more so to the ones I will watch unfold first hand.
Isn't the unknown exciting?
Xathrid!... there is a xathrid card!...*crosses fingers for xathrid necromancer to return*
but yeah.. I like it I think if it was a rare you would switch the abilities always first strike deathtouch then turn on the hexproof.
In limited its basically invisible stalker you just leave that mana open. I like the little game it has though. you could easily force the activation then kill the thing with spot removal. so yeah I think it is nicely designed despite having hexproof.
The H in the new font really pisses me off. I don't know why. Just reminds me of a really annoying co worker who had a bunch of "quirks" in order to be a super special snowflake. Really hope they go back to the old font.

You've got a rat in your walls, and cheese won't solve anything.
For what it's worth, the opposite of evergreen is "deciduous" so I suggest we start using that from now on to refer to shroud, banding, islandhome, etc.

I think we've yet to see the Diablo Developer's card, I think blizzard got two people in with this, not sure, can't remember original list.

3 manas for a 2/1 hexproof may be good but when you add a conditional kill strike its just value town ..
I think this can be good for even for(Edit and in draft this card rocks...) standard if we end up with snother RG stomp when RTR rotates.
Its nice that it can trade with soo much good cards in standard ( and sometimes even don't trade at all just doing 0-1)
3 points to Rob Pardo for creating this nice good flavorfull card
Agreed. I'd much rather see blank space or flavor text than designer credits on the card.
